First of all, there's no way Boston is trading for BBD again, so that's pretty much out.
Personally, I wouldn't trade for Rondo. He's about to be 27 years old, and in a year he might come back from a major knee injury. So best case is he'll be 28 when he's ready to play again, on a team that's one year into a rebuild. Off a major knee injury. A player that relies on the first cut to be exceptionally
effective. Not a recipe for success.
Everyone bashed trading for Rudy Gay because of his age and where he lwould be "when the team is ready to compete again," but Gay is actually seven months younger and, oh yeah, no major knee injury to recover from.
Rudy is not an elite player like Rondo is! Beside Rondo trade value I'd low right now so teams will strike the iron when it's hot

There is no guarantee that Rondo will be back as an elite player following this injury. Knee injuries to smaller, quicker players have always had an impact on their effectiveness, especially as they approach 30. He's just not worth the risk.
Now, if you want to trade Jameer and a combination of others to Boston, I might be able to get behind that for the right deal. But I don't think a team in our position takes a chance on Rondo.
