Seeing the Heat with Nunn and now Vincent and Straus they went undrafted and their scouts where able to find them, us we go and get Fraizer and Ford? Why not take a chance on guys in the 2nd round?

The Magic for the most part do play hard every night. That's about all you can judge Mosley on at this point IMO.

He's working with extremely limited resources and there's no tangible emphasis organizationally on winning. He's doing what he was brought in to do.

I like that they play hard but they don't seem to embrace the fundamentals that make it look easy (like boxing out, setting picks, and making the extra pass). Like when you play racquetball against an advanced player -who rarely moves his feet while you're running around like a chicken without a head, chasing, the whole game...those seem to be things a "developmental" coach should be held to.

first year head coach, im going to give him some slack. especially considering the improved play from WCJ, Bamba and we see a lot more out of Wagner than i think any of us expected. Add in players with injuries/covid coming in and out of the lineup.

we werent going to win anything this year anyways. So let him take his lumps and learn what he needs to while improving the players. and also see what asst coaches are working well for him or if he needs to change anything up.

I've been rooting as hard as anyone for Bamba...but I question whether he's shown "improvement" or just more minutes/same result...He was always the "per 36" champ. He still mostly fails the eye test on both ends, IMO...I'm still really torn as I WANT him to be the answer to a guard-dominant modern team, where he anchors the defense at an elite level and simply sets strong picks, dunks lobs, and hits 3's as a trailer. I haven't watched a ton, but all I've seen is mostly listless wandering with occasional bursts (and overly macho celebrations).

You’re not impressed with Mosley??!

Man, the guy coaches every possession no matter how **** the team has been playing. I’ve never seen that guy slack at all. Mosley should win coach of the year with this kind of effort alone.

This, blaming the coach on arguably a top 3 worst Magic team of all time, with injuries to his best players, and Covid, who has remained in every game, come on...

We are all frustrated and fed up, and it's normal to look around to point the finger, but it isn't due in his direction at all

This is interesting speculation. And it makes sense. Let's say that on an MRI an one spur was found. Well that would be "fixed". For example.

[Fultz is on schedule so no issue with him.

Fultz improvement will tell us a lot about what the 2022/23 season will provide. He is elite at the pick and role, and Suggs and F-Wagner should feast off of his game.

The Moore and MCW injuries are a bit curious though. You would have to think they would be MUCH better than:

Seriously!

Moore in particular is a joke. The lack of reporting on him makes one wonder if he actually exists.
Carter-Williams is a need player right now.

yeah... despite us being down 30 in the 3rd quarter, the fact that the guys are still playing hard and doing the plays for Mos... that is not something you can criticize him for.

Also, with the roster he has at any given night... I mean... yeah he deserves a pass..

To be fair I also blamed the FO and scouting department but that was missed.

But yeah I'm not impressed with the effort of clapping a good play but not pulling a guy for making a mistake. Way too many defensive assignments go missed or bad shots get taken and nothing happens, for a defensive coach I would've thought at least that side was going to be good. The players/injuries are also to blame but game after game of no boxing out, not getting back and getting lost on who they are guarding or if they switch on picks causing mismatches constantly is bothering me. I like introducing the zone, it switch's up the defense gives a different look and has worked for us. Offensively we kept hearing "pace and space" but I keep seeing the ball slowly get brought up play doesn't start till late in the shot clock and no movement no spacing for cutters, has a lot to do with the players on the court so I'm not faulting him too much on that side. We had a chance to win the NO game and a few others but he rode a bench unit that didn't score for 10 minutes. I had problems with Cliff too but he at least pulled guys for bad plays, not like it stopped AG from going 1v5 but he at least did it. I think he needs an assistant who was a longtime head coach on his staff to teach him those things.

I know we aren't going to win games that has a lot to do with my frustration, I'm still going to watch every game no matter what players we have on the court and be I'll still be mad when we lose.

He's letting them play thru mistakes. Yanking players is how you end up with a bunch of vets playing all the minutes. Playing the young players is how they improve. Clifford used to make excuses for the vets when they made mistakes.

Anthony still out, but M. Wagner and Brazdeikis are back.

In other news, the Magic did not give second 10-day contracts to Aleem Ford or B.J. Johnson.

Hassani Gravett and Admiral Schofield signed second 10-day contracts with the Magic.

Looks like Cole may dodge the Bucks for 4 games. That'll help his net rating. It's funny that the one game he played in the last six was against the weakest opponent. I'll bet anything that he won't miss the Detroit game.

Having M-Wagner and Brazdeikis is a huge upgrade over Ford and Johnson.

Hassani Gravett and Admiral Schofield signed second 10-day contracts with the Magic.

Orlando is still wafer thin at PG, so Gravett makes sense. Schofield looks like he can actually play NBA basketball and I wonder if he will outright earn a contract.

Frankly I think hen these covid-contracts are done, Orlando should waive Brazdeikis and use that contract to sign Schofield.

Westbrook making fool of himself by making comment that people "expect him to average 25-15-15" , facing backlash, than Towns comes to defend him, and Green b***slaps him . It's hilarous that even between nba players there it's clear there are guys in this game who only play basketball for personal benefits, stats & money.

That RWB quote was hilarious. People want the opposite of that, bozo.

There just haven't been enough games this season where the Magic have had a full allotment of healthy players for Mosley to "hold guys accountable" by pulling them out of the game.

The majority of games the Magic have had this season they've only had 10 or 11 healthy players, so you can't realistically expect Mosley to bench anyone for making mistakes.

The players seem to love Mosley and he's the most engaged and positive coach I've ever seen for us. He's as into the game as the players but not in the grating Jim Boylen way. Franz is blossoming. I don't think you could ask much more from him at this point.
