Glad Mac won…btw, he’s a PG and can shoot…give him a look

Tbh it is bad PR for nba players. You have 500 nba active players and nobody can actually dunk worh a damn so you are getting owned by G league guy? :noway:

Or worst, even ones who can, don't want to compete there

I feel like lebron started that by never competing in the drunk contest. The nba should allow the fans to pick 4 dunkers via votes, then have 2-4 randoms that want to compete.

Yeah, I’m not feeling this McClung winning thing, he’s not even an NBA player. Magic associated or not. I miss the days when big names competed. They have them in the 3 point contest with Lillard winning twice now. Bring in guys like Giannis to compete for the dunk title. Give them some kind of incentive to participate beyond money.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

If you ask me, you can vote allstas just for tradion of it, and have mid season tournament instad of this crap and simply never play single allstar game or/and event tied with it again.

I think it was 2015, i talked my ex GF into watching skill challenge and lineup was Payton, MCW, Knight, Teague , Pat Bev. And man, it was embarrassing . I felt bad to ever suggesting somebody to watch it. Guys looked like bunch of people who never touched basket ball in their lifes trying to run polygon. Brandon knight at one point missed like 5 threes in a row, people were blowing layups, missing skill passes for like a foot.

Dunk contest outside of Lavine-Gordon one, sucks for 15 years one ( that Gordon- Heat bench warmer one that he lost was entertaining, i can't even recall any other dunk contest in past decade beside those two).

So over time i figured i simply have no deire to watch anything about allstar weekend. I'll see highlights but i refuse to watch whole thing.

All-star weekend being trash is not new. It has been that way for atleast the past decade. Im not sure why people still watch it and complain. Im only going to tune in tonight to see the new court, but will probably get bored of it quick and watch something else.

Me too, the rising stars tourney was fun to watch plus the NBA vs WNBA shootout was also entertaining. Add the LED court, McClung first drunk and that made it worth it.

The single dumbest thing to ever do in the dunk contest is to arbitrarily deduct points for missed dunks. We ask these guys to attempt these crazy dunks and we demand crazier stuff every year. That kinda means that they should get the space to try something crazy a couple times without penalty. Now if they miss and aren’t trying to push the envelope so be it penalize them.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Have not watched one bit of All Star weekend and by the comments looks like I'm not missing much. It's become so lame over the years and Silver has no idea or unwilling to do anything about it. Oh well, I'll just keep doing other things and wait for the regular season to start again.

Can he replace Chuma? What’s his official position?

We are in great hands with Paolo and Franz. Both are great basketball players but better people.

We just need to add the right players around them.

But isnt that sad to realise? That the showcase weekend for the NBA has been reduced to this meaningless effortless mess. Kind of sad to me, and i wish it would be something the players cared more about. But reality is they do not care about the fans and are overpaid, entitled brats.

I would also not care enough to injure myself on a designated week off in the middle of the season lol.

Baseball is the only sport where there's a modicum of effort, but mostly because the nature of the sport where you're not exerting too much energy.

NHL all-star game has been completely overhauled, and nobody cares about the Pro Bowl.

I hope it's a fun game and Paolo has a little bit of an impact. The thing I like most about The All-Star Break is the rest that I get,

Paolo was wearing an all white jumpsuit( couldn't tell if it was jordan brand or not) to one of the events and it looks like he has a custom logo. And it look super dope. If that is a jordan brand jumpsuit with his logo on it we may be getting a sig here soon. Would be so dope.
