Didn’t see the traditional camaraderie among the players…Toppin too. The event just had a kind of negative vibe…if Brown was even remotely close to Mac (nobody was) he would have gotten 50’s and been mobbed by players.
Glad Mac won…btw, he’s a PG and can shoot…give him a look
Tbh it is bad PR for nba players. You have 500 nba active players and nobody can actually dunk worh a damn so you are getting owned by G league guy?
Or worst, even ones who can, don't want to compete there

I feel like lebron started that by never competing in the drunk contest. The nba should allow the fans to pick 4 dunkers via votes, then have 2-4 randoms that want to compete.
If you ask me, you can vote allstas just for tradion of it, and have mid season tournament instad of this crap and simply never play single allstar game or/and event tied with it again.
I think it was 2015, i talked my ex GF into watching skill challenge and lineup was Payton, MCW, Knight, Teague , Pat Bev. And man, it was embarrassing . I felt bad to ever suggesting somebody to watch it. Guys looked like bunch of people who never touched basket ball in their lifes trying to run polygon. Brandon knight at one point missed like 5 threes in a row, people were blowing layups, missing skill passes for like a foot.
Dunk contest outside of Lavine-Gordon one, sucks for 15 years one ( that Gordon- Heat bench warmer one that he lost was entertaining, i can't even recall any other dunk contest in past decade beside those two).
So over time i figured i simply have no deire to watch anything about allstar weekend. I'll see highlights but i refuse to watch whole thing.
