Agreed. He plays the best defense in the league on Franz and it makes him tentative going to the basket

The best part is that Weltman's job is likely not even close to being in danger. Infuriating, really.

Two of their core guys got way better year over year and two of the Magic’s core guys got way worse.

Sometimes it’s just that simple.

Hence why standing pat sucks.

Progression isn’t linear, guys don’t always just level up every single season of their career. Rosters aren’t 100% healthy every season. Guys can fall off after they get paid. Lotto picks bust all the time.

I know a lot of us have thousands of posts on here but the realization that this organization isn’t serious about winning a title is a disappointing one. Seems like that changed somewhere between the Dwightmare, Rich DeVos’ health going downhill, and Martins becoming more involved.

I really can’t stomach another team having a historic 3 pointer game against us. I’ll catch you guys on the next one, God willing.

Why does Dell fall over so much now trying to rebound?

Magic DRTG with Suggs 106.4 3rd in the NBA
Magic DRTG without Suggs 114 15th in the NBA

I mean that's it right there.

The fact that almost everyone on this forum could have predicted this outcome, shows just how much of a fool weltman and this front office is.

That is what I'm scared of. They obviously feel pressure from the fans as they have referenced it in interviews. Make a big move to solidify a treadmill team and restart the tank in a few years would be so Magic.

they also got a huge coaching upgrade

And they've been very healthy too.

Last year Mitchell, Garland and Mobley combined to miss 82 games.

This year they've only missed 12 combined.

Ty Jerome only played 2 games last year because of ankle surgery. He's a favorite for 6th Man of the Year this year.

I don’t wanna pay Paolo the max, and I don’t wanna pay Suggs 30mill. We’re in a tough spot

This is what happens when you depend on the power of friendship instead of good coaching and elite players.
If you see something suspicious, say something suspicious.

We would loose to Cavs bench players, no need to play starters much

Suggs is the defense. No doubt.

Suggs being out isn't why we suck on offense though.

You pay Paolo the max. Period. Suggs too.

What you don’t do is spend gazillions on chaff like KCP, inexplicably blow 2 lotto picks in the same draft and shove every 2nd round pick you have in your rear exit.

And if we were healthy, do you think we would be 47-10 like the Cavs are?

Yep.... Watching this blow up in weltman's face may be the thing that wakes him up... Of course this is something we knew but executives making millions of dollars are oblivious to
