Marc Stein reiterated Orlando’s desire
“Since publishing those words, various sources have indicated that they do believe the Hawks will fall right in line with Oklahoma City, Orlando and Brooklyn as teams with multiple picks in the mid-to-late first round exploring various avenues to move up the draft board.”
A lot of competition to move up. Teams probably all have the same intel on a certain can’t miss prospect and seeing what it will take to move up.
It is widly rumored that the Magic is targetting Knueppel. With only draft assets, that would require both FRPs this year and the Suns pick next year.
Houston is the team considered. Personaly I don't think he will slide to 10. But he is worth the risk of the Suns 2026 pick.
Brooklyn needs players so Anthony, Howard, both FRPs, and both SPRs for the rights to Knueppel at 8. Is that enough?
Knueppel really solves nothing, tbh i would not even take him at 16#.
Guy is good spot up shooter , okey passer by college standards and that's about it. Typiacal Duke college hype about prospect that media sells as better than he is ( Bagley over Dončić, Ingram, RJ Barrett, Zion... they are falacity hype factory)
Average size, soft body without any muscle tone, slowfooted, very limited latheral quickness.
Guy can't even create shots at college level, shot 25% from dribble pull ups against crappy college defenders.
He won't be beating anybody off the dribble on offense and he will relagated into spot ups and nothing more.
Pretty much same problem you have with Black, you can't "develop" somebody into being faster, quicker, more athletic or more explosive.
He will probably stick around nba for long, won't be bust, but also won't be star player. And because how important defense on perimeter on serious teams is, he probably won't be starter on contending teams at any point.
He already had his annual fake news, false college hype baloon bursting , went from 6'8 to 6'5 without shoes at combine

So below average size vise nba player, below average athlete, below average defender. Yea... hard pass. You draft him and you hope for what Kispert ? Might as well trade 25th pick for Kispert.
