They don't need AB.

Scoot, Sharpe, Thybulle, and a vet like Brogdon is a potentially good back court moving forward.
They need to stop playing "small" and get a PF like Carter to pair with dead weight Ayton and a very good Jerami Grant.

They have 2 lotto picks in this years draft. Simons doesn't make sense in their rotation.

I completely agree that Black makes no sense for them but Portland fans just love the guy. Any of their trades with Orlando seems to involve Black and I am ok with that

If they really love AB... then Im ok with Sharpe for AB lol

Pass for POR.

I don’t think the Magic are moving AB. Our FO really commits to their draft picks once they select them.

What about Brogdon for our pick (#18)?

I’d prefer to do the Denver 25 1st + Phoenix 1st because I think there will still be value on the board at 18, and Brogdon is an expiring, too. I’d offer Cole up, too, but I don’t think WePark would do it.

I’d prefer to move Simons; Brogdon can play with either guard and is expiring.

I'd happily take both off of your hands and payroll if the price was right and the proper value was placed on the financial side of it. Cole could, somewhat, replace "enough" of what you hope for from your first guard off the bench - at a fraction of the salary(s). Black is big and versatile enough to move all over the lineup while POR figures out his ultimate identity (we don't what that is - but we're confident it's something good).

ORL sends: Cole Anthony ($13m), Anthony Black ($7.6m), DEN 25 frp(Top 5), ORL 26 frp (Top 5), 2 ORL srps
PRO sends: Brogdon ($26 m), Simons ($22.5m)

I would do that and route Cole elsewhere.

LOL. C'mon man...read it again.

Brogdon is a really good 2-way player that is lacking in no dept. Consider him a (not that poor) poor man's Jrue Holiday...and younger  . The injury history is what makes this even plausible before anyone hangs their hat on that. Simons is as good a shooter as there is in the NBA and I think he's got a lot more in his bag, not to mention 5+ apg. Consider that this is two trades in one and Cole's out of a job either way, so saving his salary matters. Moving Black hurts, but let's be real about his value vs hopeful projection.

so, what's the big sacrifice...the srps?

Simons, Brogdon
Suggs, Jett, Queen
Franz, da Silva (#18), Houstan
Paolo, Isaac
Claxton (yes we have enough if we make some adjustments), WCJ, Mo

I'd be ok with Cole + AB + DEN pick for Simons and Brogdon. The extra 1st seems like too much. I don't care about the 2nds.

Maybe I'm undervaluing Cole's appeal around the league...but I think your trimmed down version gets you Simons OR Brogdon, not both. Brogdon has value....DEN pick is very meh, imo. AB has frp value, but not more than one.

come on this is crazy unneeded trade..i would put a lot of money magic would not give this up for 2 yrs of overpaid 6th man and 1 yr of injury prone role player...really both are injury prone...this is way overboard

Pass for POR.

AB is nice, the DEN pick will be late and Anthony is close to worthless.

Brogdon does have injury issues but would easily be the best guard on ORL.
