Brian K. Schmitz @MagicInsider: If goal is to one day win title, you don't start the drive with BLopez. If you like 38-44, 8th seed for 4 years at $60 million, be my guest

What i've said all along, especially earlier on the David Baumann show and Jarrod Rudolph shot me down.

I mean come on. I know Hennigan is public enemy #1 right now, but the man is not mentally challenged. If such an obviously better deal was out there, I think we would have taken it.

You mean like signing Jameer for $8 mil when he could have had him for $6 mil?

I agree - if we couldn't get fair value for (which we were never going to), then better to clean house and start over. That post on the previous page from TBN makes a lot of sense - Denver was basically getting Iggy for Afflalo and a banged up Harrington. The idea that they would be taking back Hedo for their $13m TPE to balance things out makes sense.

Now, not saying that is what is happening, but it seems logical. And there were rumours earlier today that Turk was involved in the deal.

Not a single team in the NBA would have given Meer anything more than the MLE.

Orlando would get Denver guard Arron Afflalo, Denver forward Al Harrington, Philadelphia small forward Moe Harkless, Philadelphia center Nikola Vucevic, three future first-round picks (one lottery-protected from the Sixers, the lower of Denver's two first-rounders in 2014 and the Lakers' 2017 first-rounder) and two second-round picks

One source said Philadelphia was very reluctant to give up Harkless, the 15th pick in the June draft, and that Sixers officials continued looking for ways to avoid having to do so late Thursday.

I am one of those. Just tell me something. Would I be ok putting my trust in a guy that has been at two Franchises that have been successful, two franchises that like us are small markets, in two Franchises that had some of the best, smartest and successful guys that he would have worked closely with?

I'm sorry man, but In Henny I trust!

For anyone who is saying that this has Alex Martin all over it, c'mon! Why would Hennigan come to an organisation just to be shat on like that? Think people.

You know what is wrong with the average fan nowadays? They are emotionally involved in a sport that has selfish athletes. When that happens, the media win, cause they say what they want and the average fan believes in what they are saying. The average fan doesn't have the capability of thinking outside the situation and are fed by these "experts" and believe what is said.

I have listened for two months on the twist and turns of this Dwight saga and I have seen opinions change with the landscape. How can we trust people reporting things they have no idea about and can shift and change their opinion on a whim? These media guys who self claim themselves to be experts do not know a thing. They just like us have an opinion and report it. We stop ourselves in having our own opinion by listening to what is fed to us.

Will Orlando be a laughing stock later today? Probably. Cause that is the way the media will paint us, and other fans are so stupid will run with it. Heavily. I know we did what was best for us to move forward. I don't give a damn about the Lakers. I care about Orlando.

I have been a Magic fan since 1992. I was 10 years old in a country that was Chicago Bulls #23 crazy (fair enough too, he was the man), but I stuck with Magic. I ain't shifting now, in fact I am excited that my team will not be run by one man, but move together in a direction. I want to be like the Spurs. If that is what we are aiming for, even if we get close, we would be an improvement to what has been happening lately. Put me down for that.

In Henny I trust.

I really hope we get Quincy Miller added in.

Other then that I am just confused about us getting Harrington. But for all those Stern/Lotto conspirators looks like we will get the #1 pick :D

KOBE : Well, it looks like Superman has found a home. I wish nothing but the best for Big Bynum. I hope he follows what was a great season last year with an even better one next year. I know LA is excited about the deal and rightfully so. The Lakers landed a piece that will hopefully carry the franchise long after I'm gone. I have spoken to Dwight Howard already and we are locked and loaded to bring back the title. Wow, what a summer Jimmy and Mitch have had so far. Unreal! I'm focused on our semifinal game vs Argentina but I had to pause for a few to send you my thoughts, in case you were curious..

I've been a fan since 1991 and that won't change now. Seems like as a franchise we have had some real low points which is probably why my friends call us the Orlando Tragic.

1. Nick misses FTs in Finals
2. Shaq leaves for LA
3. Penny's knee and traded
4. Miss out on Tim Duncan
5. Grant Hill ankles and barely plays until he leaves
6. TMAC whines and traded for scraps
7. Lee misses layup in Finals
8. Trade Gortat for scraps
9. Get Arenas only to let him go and still have to pay him
10. Trade Howard for non-lottery picks

Thats a lot for one franchise to deal with. I think only thing worse would have been if the team moved like the Sonics.

@sam_amick
Sources say Orlando also gets Lakers forward Josh McRoberts in the Dwight Howard deal.

Well that changes everything.
