Finally, Brian Shaw got a job. Started to feel bad for the guy. Nuggets it is.

Good for him! I felt bad for him as well, although I was starting to wonder why it was that so many teams were passing on him. Glad he's getting a chance though, a much better choice then going with Vinny Del Negro in my opinion.

If we end up taking him, then at least we can be rest assured that they did their homework.
Not to sound negative, but we all said the same thing when we signed Grant Hill.
Grant Hill will forever be knows as the worst player in Magic history in my books.
I agree though. Doctors can only say how a player looks right now. They cannot say what will happen to him in the future with any confidence, unless his injury was degenerative or gone past repair. Such is not the case with an ACL injury.

A smart coach once said, "Potential just means you're not good enough yet." Playing on potential is like living on air: It's essential, but if thats all you have, you're eventually going to starve.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. LVI - NBA Draft Edition
if we're playing middle man on deals, then i'd imagine we'll be getting young guys and draft picks. Clips only have Bledsoe - who else can they offer?
or, who else could want Bledsoe that bad that they'd give up a bunch for him? Utah, Detroit, New Orleans, Sacramento, Boston and New York are probably the most PG hungry.
TEAM - ASSETS
UTAH - #14, #21, A.Burks
DETROIT - #8, Knight, Stuckey
NEW ORLEANS - #6, Gordon, Aminu, Anderson
SACRAMENTO - #7, Thompson, Patterson, Tyreke
BOSTON - #16, Garnett, Pierce, Sullinger, Bradley, Rondo
NEW YORK - #24, Shumpert
is there a big enough package that can get Favors/Drummond/Monroe/DMC on the move? Bledsoe + #2?

Something like Bledsoe to Utah, Butler/Burks to Orlando, Afflalo to LAC and the Magic got #14, #21 and if possible the Clippers pick.

Since we apparently are lookign hard at Noel, if he goes #1, could anyone see US taking len? I mean we already have one of the top 5 YOUNG centers in the league, but could it hurt to have two talented 7fters with good offensive games?
I mean with no clear cut #1-2 picks in thie draft, can we really going wrong with taking a big man with high upside?

something like
LA Clippers get: AA
Utah Get: Bledsoe
Magic get: Favors, Butler
and yes utah would deal Favors for a Starting PG. Young Promising PG for young promising PF/C seems fair to me.

wow, the posts about Noel here are getting extremely ignorant. try watching the games, sheesh.

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Clever statement by the OPP. They don't say that there are any sources linked to it, or that they are the actual source.
All they are doing is writing speculation. So don't confuse their speculation with something that is really going to happen. We all have been expecting something like this to happen. Whether it does or not is another thing. What's being said there is nothing different from what is said every day here.
They are speculating. Not reporting.
Yeah, on their source, the "sportscity" article, the rumor is randomly thrown in at the end of the article. Disappointing.
mark heisler is a very reputeable source when it comes to LA Basketball teams

Steve Kyler @stevekylerNBA 15m
Couple small updates... Bulls reportedly called Washington about the #3 and talks didn't get much further than that. Luol Deng staying put
Steve Kyler @stevekylerNBA 15m
Mavs reportedly have 2 deals they can do with Shawn Marion and the #13 - one is with Cleveland and one with new Orleans.. neither seem close
Steve Kyler @stevekylerNBA 15m
Minnesota has called a number of teams looking to move a pick for a veteran... could go big guy with the #9...
Steve Kyler @stevekylerNBA 14m
Jazz also expected to go big with their first pick... not as in love with the points guards that could be there at 14 as they are the bigs.

WHY DO PEOPLE THINK LATE FIRST ROUNDERS IN A WEAK DRAFT ARE ASSETS? I'd rather have Bledsoe than anyone in the 20's in THIS draft.
