Gee wiz guys. I predicted we would be swept but still want us to win. How hard is it to just state the obvious so simply and be ridiculed?

There is a wholesome planet that Franz / Paolo both get super hot the rest of the way and we steamroll through the playoffs. I don't think this happens until their prime years though.

So you don't think Franz and Paolo were "hot" enough last night?...I'm thinking everything EXCEPT them is the obvious problem.

In a word? Nope.

Think like Dirk during his championship run, that kinda hot. Or Dwayne Wade in the finals his first championship hot.

Now that being said. Does the rest of the floor need to be raise? Sure. But really notice what I DIDn'T say. I have no confidence that the squad surrounding them is "it".

Zach Lowe is spot on. We need a coach who is not ignorant on offense and actually knows how to coach offense. We need a scoring, play making point guard who is ALSO a knockdown 3pt shooter. We need a rim running, screen setting, shot blocking, lob catching centre, we need a guard who is a 6th man of the year candidate who can score in bunches off the bench. These things are not suggestions, these are needs! No, Suggs isn't a point guard. Neither is Black. Goga is a great back up big but not a starter on a contender. The front office has to get it done, NOW!

Here's a summary of the video:
Franz Wagner discusses his shot and whether he made any changes to it.
Here are the key points:
* He attempted to modify his shot last summer, but it didn't feel right [00:18].
* He believes his shot is better this season compared to last season [00:35].
* He thinks he is on the right track, but it will take time [00:41].
Do you have any other questions about this video?

As homers on this board say “wait and see” and “patience” while people that actually know the nba are basically laughing at our FO.

Methodical and patient. It's been the right approach. It's also the right time to pivot to win-now moves. Timelines and all that

Least assists per game in the NBA.

Why I'm not sold on Simons, Sexton, Coby White being our solution at PG. Then again increasing the pace would help on that

I'm not sure there's anyone avaliable that is the solution. Maybe other players emerge as available after the playoffs/offseasons.

We could get one of the 3 I listed above as a stopgap, which I'm fine with as long as we're not sending multiple 1st and/or AB.

FVV is the closest thing to potentially available that would be more of a solution, but that would take Houston being out on him, which I lean towards not expecting.

To clarify this, he said he changed his shot in summer of 2023. That didn´t feel right, the form was inconsistent, so he changed again last summer, feels better this season, but takes time.

Lowe and some other podcasters are taking jabs at Magic FO and make mockery of our offense whole season long.

I listen to one podcast ( from my country) where 3 very smart basketball people were grilling Magic offense saying they would defend us 4 on5 and have one guy standing below our rim, because 5 men aren't needed to defend Magic "offense".

Same thing the national media were saying during the Cavs series last year. Worst guard rotation in the league, terrible shooting, no point guard. Jeff sat on his hands. He held all the cards last summer, holds nothing this summer.

The series where Suggs was emerging as a top 50 player and 3rd option at the age of 22? The rest of the guard rotation was rough, though.
