Not rally considering the Warriors are getting good play out of Lee, have around $10 mil in cap space this summer and like Lee. So why trade him for a similar player? Even with a difference in contracts?[/quote]
:o :o
Anderson=almost 23 PER
Lee=Under 20

And no way Anderson commands 10-15 million
aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Trades and decisions on players aren't decided by PER.

i like the idea of beans/ellis/ airza to orlando makes us way more formidable and addresses a few weaknesses ,plus at least we can compete with the toher good teams in the east

not bad. however, I'd keep Thorton in Sac-town and ship JRich to Golden State.

gs would rather have thorton. gives them a starting 5 of:
curry/nelson
thorton/klay
wright/rush
lee/hickson
thompson/kwame

bigger and better defensive/rebounding team, possible playoff team. what does that gs fan think

I honestly think this is the most feasible Monta proposal yet. I'd prefer Lee to Biedrins, but I am sure GS would rather dump Andres

gs gets a platoon of young bigs and a nice starting sg in thorton. also nelson would be a great fit there. SAC gets a great pf to compliment cousins game and a starting sg in jrich. orlando gets their man ellis and a backup center. next move would be get a better backup pg and possibly get sjax.

Still doesn't solve the Warriors problem at center. As for the Kaman rumors, the reason the Warriors have pursued him is the belief they can get him without giving up a valuable piece like Ellis.

Monta is not a PG, he's a scorer, he's like Gilbert Arenas, he doesn't have the PG mindset, atleast Nelson will try to get his teammates involved, and is traditionally a good 3 point shooter. Monta is a 2, not a 1.

Gilbert was a very good Pg and averaged 30-6-6 he knew how to get people involved and Ellis played pg before curry...also do u expect ellis to guard wade?

^@NW:i think thats more than enough return for ellis. thorton could match ellis's scoring while letting curry dominate the ball and jason thompson is way better than andris. curry could shift to sg when nelson comes in and they wouldn't have to play nate rob anymore

He didn't play it well. Hence why the Warriors got Curry and would have taken Flynn or Jennings had Curry not been available

Being better than the suck that is Andris doesn't make you the answer at center

No we're not......rather not have him at all if we lose D12. If we have to choose between injury prone centers that have structural problems I'll take a poor mans Dwight over Rony Seikaly 2.0 with a bad foot.

let me rephrase that: j.thompson could be the young center that the warriors desperately need.

He wasn't that for the Kings (Dalembert and Cousins were preferable), doubt he is for anyone else.

Just curious, why are some proposing trades including Bogut? Why would the Bucks deal him and why would a team deal for an injured player?

Like Jennings is a better playmaker than Monta?

J-Rich needs to kick rocks.....Too inconsistent and virtually brings nothing to the table that Redick can't emulate

Bogut's the kind of center GS would deal Ellis for, the injury actually helps as it would give the Warriors a legit excuse to tank for their pick, the Bucks pretty much are looking at a rebuild with practically their whole team wanting out.

Jesus even the Warriors fans way overrate Ellis!!!!!! He is not worth anywhere near what you think you'll get for him from any team. There is a reason he has been shopped now for 2+ years. He is not worth multiple starters let alone an All Star. The only reason I am ok with Monta on this team is because it probably keeps Howard around.
