On a serious note, we are the ninth youngest team in the league. We are going to have nights like this. We still need to improve our culture though, way too much head hanging and despondency IMO. These guys should have their eyes on the prize, which isn't necessarily to be found in the W/L category but in the development category.

Really, really liking Vucevic, Moore, Harkless, and Nicholson.

I agree 100% with this. We gotta get rid of that stuff. That would be a dangerous culture to build.

As far as the Mod Wars go, i'll take you guys in 6.

No chance.

Whatsoever.

If you think subjectively you might able to see it BTW you should change your name Dwight is not in Orlando anymore.

Wow at some guys tossing around the word "bust" already. Seriously???? It's not even 10 games into the season much less 4 years in the future.

You guys seem to forget that Harkless, Nicholson, and Vuc are PROJECT players.

I've actually been impressed with the young players. BBD has been a big disappointment though

What a disastrous game.

Unfortunately that's what we're probably gonna see through this year over and over again.

Ish Smith proved SVG right last year. he was worse than Duhon (yes I said it).

I Like Vucevic but he needs to box-out. He was terrible rebounding in the first half last night. He tries to reach for rebound only looking to the ball, ignoring the opponentes and never uses both hands to get the ball. He is young and will improve I think.

Ayon is just awful.

Lets forget about this loss and just pick up the energy we've showed int he first 2 games.

depends on what he said, i did a quick glance and only seen 1 of his post over there, it should of been a warning, not a suspension, unless some other stuff happened earlier or in a different thread...something else must of happened because you usually get a warning first

I think that was it. I remember lurking over there last season and it seemed obvious their mods are drunk with power when it came to trolling.

Lmao guys, the Nets board has been a hotbed for trolls for years. We got it from Mavs fans, Magic fans, Blazers fans, Knick fans, and Raptor fans. The Nets mods are rarely there. Nets posters have routinely had to fend off trolls by ourselves for years because our mods are rarely there/extremely lenient.

The Knicks board, it is not.

If someone got suspended, it is because they either had a previous record or really went out of line.

A lot of the comments from Nets fans trashing the Magic didn't come out until that one poster started things up. Like I said, the mods there are very lenient and rarely do anything about trolls. So if another poster comes in and trolls a thread, every Nets poster will come after them...hard, and with facts (except for maybe a couple of problem child exceptions).

It's how we've fend off trolls for years as a bottom of the barrel franchise, with a very small RealGM fanbase (or fanbase in general, I guess).

That being said, we're clearly not a small market team anymore, and we're getting an influx of hate now (must be a New York thing).

As far as the game, your team sucks. People are seriously praising Vucevic? You guys call Lopez soft, and Vucevic couldn't do anything against him. Heck, he couldn't even do anything against Blatche.

Moore looks pretty good, but he's clearly not a point guard.

But, like we've said many times during the Dwightmare, if you're going to lose a star player, the worst thing you can do is be stuck in mediocrity. You are better off losing hard and winning the top pick in the draft and rebuilding again.

It is a tough pill to swallow as a fan, we know, we went through a 12-win season. But its a much better place long-term than trying to be a team like, say the Hawks or the Knicks for years who were just good enough to win games not to win the lottery but also bad enough that they can't get past the 2nd round.

I hope fat baby steps his game up and doesn't continue to decimate his value. He feels entitled to "take over" games and yeahno. If that doesn't change he needs to go.

And, of course, it's not like missing our starting point guard and small forward, and being forced to play a scorer at the point and a rookie and POWER FORWARD combination at the three are significant enough factors to take notice of.

Did the whole team go on a drinking binge the night before? Thats the only thing I can think of for such a piss poor effort. Humiliating.

I got 6 texts from various Nets fans asking "Do you respect Lopez now?".

I really don't understand this epidemic.

Why can't Net fans understand that it wasn't Lopez's lack of ability as much as it was the fact he wanted Max money?

Lopez is Ok but he is NOT a Max player...

The Magic are rebuilding, not looking to add ok (not great) players to ridiculous contracts. That was the old regime...

In short, Lopex is average. So is Nicki Vuch but at a significantly less expense

That is all....

By the way Nets fans, I think the following song sums up your title hopes for the next few years.....

That's part of it. The other major part that nobody ever mentions for some reason is that we did not want to send Dwight to a team with multiple "stars" in the SAME conference unless we were getting a superstar in return. That would have been awful.Imagine 3-4 regular season games against a super team with Dwight on it? Then even if we get back to the playoffs in a few years, there would be a good chance of facing them 4 games in a row? LOL, yeah, no thanks. Not to mention Nets fans would probably act even more obnoxious on our board if that happened. It's better Dwight's out west, even if it's on the thieving lakers.

I guess Nets fans know their title hopes are slim to none with that over-paid roster and with Miami looming around, so they're already in "what could have been" mode and obsessing over past events. How pathetic. What amazes me is their fanbase is so bitter even though their organization tried poaching our only star all year long. Anyway, they need to STFU because we don't have Dwight to trade anymore and we certainly don't care what Lopez does.

Didn't care to read the beginning of your original post, so I just focused on this segment cause it was hilarious to me.

So much irony in this paragraph. You talk about not being stuck in mediocrity and yet that is exactly what the Brooklyn Nets are...

Your team's ceiling is the 2nd round.
