people keep suggesting this, but the deal has been knocked back already by the league. why are they suddenly going to say "oh, hang on, so we get the SAME pieces, but this time Paul goes to Orlando instead? cool, no probs then!"

Why trade Dwight right now? We can get Pau and Bynum in the offseason next summer if we want. That deal sits on the table until we say so.

Clippers: Gordon, Aminu, Bledso, Jordan, Min pick, Clippers pick for Howard, Turk, and Nelson
Bulls: Noah, Deng, Gibson, Brewer, Bobcats pick, Chicago pick for Howard and Turk

I doubt the Clippers give up that much, but you should damn sure try to get them to

I woudnt take that midget Gordon...

Noah + deng is also not very appealing....

we all wanted to keep dwight but hes done here so we must move on

Exactly.

IMO, Bynum/CP3/Ariza puts us in a good place.

Worst case scenario, they both leave.

So out lineup would potentially be....

CP3/Jameer
JRich/JJ/Pruitt/Wafer/Hughes/Liggins (!!!)
Ariza/Harper(?)
BBD/Anderson
Bynum/Okafor(?)

I could be wrong but I think there would be some more thrown in. Like we send them jameer or jj or Orrin and a pick or something. We would give them young players but the basic skeleton of the deal would be the same.

And judging by them dropping out of their Chris Paul trade, it worked.....

I wonder if they got into an argument or something?

Judging from the Dwight and Otis interview the meeting obviously didn't go well. I think Otis put the news about Dwight asking for a trade out there to force Dwight to take some responsibility, which he still tried to skirt in his interview by saying, "I hope to be in a Magic jersey opening night," in the same breath as saying he wants to move on to a new team. Dwight still doesn't get it because he kept saying that anyone who doesn't really want to see him happy on another team was never really his fan. I think he's missing the point that most people are Magic fans not just Dwight fans. This team did exist before he was drafted. I stop rooting for Dwight once he leaves a Magic uniform. It's not personal, but it's the nature of being the fan of the team.

If Otis said nothing and Dwight was traded all of the fans would turn against the team for trading him. My guess is he wants people to know that this wasn't his idea.

David Baumann @DavidBaumann33 9 hrs
Howard also referenced the great relationship @mcuban has with Dirk an how he essentially envied Dirk for being able to help shape his team.

OK, now I know something is up with him and Otis....

That's the most probable scenario.

If that's the case, he'll probably be gone by next week.

Because they said LAL had to give up more => They give up Bynum&Gasol + take back Hedo .. Seems fair, no?

If Orlando adds in Anderson, JJ and Orton, that would help. And take back Okafor's contract in exchange

While he was on Dwight's list of players he wanted to play with, he's also an upgrade from Bass. I'm looking forward to seeing Big Baby out there personally. He's a player you hate when he's on the team you're playing against, but love having on your team.

Another option not being discussed and is also very plausible is a Monta and Bynum combo. I'm sure Pau would fit well with the GSW and we could get Monta and David Lee back.

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7urqjv4

We could then do a sign and trade of AK47 for our trade exception

PG-Monta/Jameer/Duhon
SG-Richardson/Q-Rich
SF-AK47/Harper
PF-David Lee/Ryan
C-Bynum/Davis/Orton

Nice to see you guys are high on Bynum and his bad knees and suspension that comes with him.. I STILL hope the plan is to keep Superman where he belongs... Orlando!

again, if a trade goes down with LA i'd rather keep both bynum and gasol... cp3 would still just leave to team up with kobe and dwight in la or to knicks. better to build around a dangerous front court

Maybe I'm missing something, but since when do you trade your franchise player to the team of his choice? It's only fair for us to shop around and get the best value we possibly can for him, not pick from a list of his top 3.

Oh my I'm reading some of the worst, most lopsided trades ever. We're not getting CP3 people. I want us to go onto full on rebuild mode. Get sOme top picks and draft some studs. I don't want to be an 8 seed and get knocked out in the first round every year. Sounds like some of you want us to be a fringe playoff team while not having any high enough draft picks to actually draft another fanchise player. This next draft class will super deep and I don't want to piss it away because we got Bynum and filler.

You know what else Dwight wanted....?

Dwight wanted to leave...there was no list this year...maybe just ...Paul or bust
Davis was on last year list
I mean Otis cant be that dumb can he?
HE thought Davis and Wafer are going to make Dwight stay?
