I mean, this is a guy who wouldn't even reveal that we were going after Duhon and Q last season! Or even BBD and Wafer this season. He's notoriously secretive, so this makes absolutely no sense......Unless this is part of he and Dwight's plan to make the Lakers ante up. And judging by them dropping out of their Chris Paul trade, it worked.....
I wonder if they got into an argument or something?
Judging from the Dwight and Otis interview the meeting obviously didn't go well. I think Otis put the news about Dwight asking for a trade out there to force Dwight to take some responsibility, which he still tried to skirt in his interview by saying, "I hope to be in a Magic jersey opening night," in the same breath as saying he wants to move on to a new team. Dwight still doesn't get it because he kept saying that anyone who doesn't really want to see him happy on another team was never really his fan. I think he's missing the point that most people are Magic fans not just Dwight fans. This team did exist before he was drafted. I stop rooting for Dwight once he leaves a Magic uniform. It's not personal, but it's the nature of being the fan of the team.
If Otis said nothing and Dwight was traded all of the fans would turn against the team for trading him. My guess is he wants people to know that this wasn't his idea.
