That's just too many assets to give up for an unproven prospect, even as promising as I think he is. #3, we can sign Bledsoe in a couple of years and not have to give up anything.
Plus, we have the leverage in this trade. We're not desperate to get Bledsoe now. Our window is years away. The Clippers' window is now, and CP3 isn't signed quite yet. They need a deal ASAP more than we do. I can stomach trading them Afflalo and a protected pick. I think the fear of trading Nicholson and him turning into a good player is going to keep Hennigan from shipping him out.
Afflalo has better trade value than J.J. We're not in a rush to trade him because we're afraid of him leaving for nothing. And the next team doesn't have to be afraid of him leaving at the end of the season. He's locked in on a reasonable contract. There's no friggin way Hennigan will ship much more than him for Bledsoe. No friggin way.
Man i so agree with this, why are people disregarding Nicholson so much man? he has so much potential, if he can get his defense on point and bulk up you're looking at a starter quality player. Dude can basically score anytime he wants one on one and the most amazing thing to me is he hasn't even shot a 3 all season even though he's a great 3 pt shooter, imagine if he hits 1 or 2 of those a game? he could be one of the toughest covers. This is a laughable trade man, can't believe we're in talks to give up all these assets for just bledsoe alone basically. He's going to be a restricted FA soon how much are we willing to pay to see if he can reach his potential?
I'm warming up to Bledsoe BUT not at that price man, it's too damn high
