We need to figure out our guard situation before this season comes completely off the rails. Doing nothing of significance at the deadline is complete managerial malpractice. We have too much money and draft capital invested into our collection of PGs and SGs for the production we are getting. Suggs with his elite defense and hit or miss offense is not enough to make up all of the injuries, weaknesses and inexperience we are bogged down with.

It’s blowing my mind that so few see how that played right into their hands. 4.5 seconds, down by a point and you have Joe Ingles shooting a 3 to win? Ask Memphis what they wanted to see. That’s exactly it. Any idea why Joe was quarantined? “They can’t be dumb enough to take that bait, right??” Oh, hell yeah we are. And then we have fans lauding the play.

And the season is off the rails, dude. 7-15 against a pretty weak schedule. This roster is a **** mess. It makes no sense and never did.

That is some galaxy brain take right there.

"Ha you have fallen into my trap Orlando! I wanted you to pass to a wide open 41% 3 point shooter. I knew that the ball would nearly go in and lose me the game! It was all part of my foolproof plan!"

It ain't that deep. Ingles' man got scared of Paolo driving and gave up a great look to defend against a worse look at a game winner.

41% is not as impressive as you think when you consider he’s shooting less than 3 per game and was 0-4 tonight. We’re not talking about a high volume shooter here. And yes, if you’re Memphis, up by 1 with guys like Paolo and Franz on the floor, a long Ingles 3 is a good outcome. Ingles was ice cold and had no business even being on the floor.

Cole's shooting splits over his last 10 games: 33/15/76

Paolo was clutch but that last play, he bailed them out a bit. He could've drove to the right and Memphis has to decide to help off of Franz or Paolo has momentum to the rim. Ingles had an open shot but it wasn't that open since P5 saw a quick double and passed it immediately. It was the "right" play for the decision he made, but think he should've used the space to his right to make a play whether he had a shot at the rim or Wagner open.

If I'm being honest, I'm willing to listen to any offer on the table for players not named Franz and Paolo.

I’d listen on Franz. He’s good, but I’d absolutely move him in the right deal. But I’d rather not as he’s young and we can still build around him and Paolo/Suggs.

But hell yes, in the right deal, you listen. He’s no superstar. And it’s making me ill, but I think the Raptor fans won the Franz v. Barnes debate. I’d take Barnes over Wagner 8 days a week.

We need an actualized guard for Franz and Paolo or this team will go nowhere. Doesn't matter who the coach is, who the players are, etc. Only a few teams can get away with what we get away with at the guard position and even be in position to be good. Luckily we have that going for us, but if we squander it by never addressing it then..

Rather take my chances with Jett on that last shot rather than Joe Ingles. Vet shmet. Any fan thinking we are past rebuilding is smoking some pineapple.

Are good with trading Black for a PG if you're past rebuilding?

And in no position to draft an elite scorer with a high pick. This reminds me of why I so pissed on draft day.

We had so much trade power and failed to help the team. Black sucks and coach hates Jett.

Thanks for looking it up. I'm going to just go with the starting records because there's a lot of noise with the bench minutes/role/etc. So... it appears to be a wash...

Sometimes we can't even get 15 combined from our guards

I mean the last play was whatever. It was a decent enough shot. Imagine if we hit free throws though? Or not let Ziaire Williams score as many baskets as his last 6 games combined?

I'd rather trade Franz than Suggs - him and Paolo have partially overlapping skills and he can land us a bigger fish than Suggs, plus lets be honest as good as he is, we arent talking about a generational talent here.

I agree! I'm tired of seeing the Wagner brothers flop their way in the lane, looking for a call! Franz is a solid do it all player, but is Orlando gonna give an extension this off season?

Suggs is a player I would keep off the bench, his injuries are just unreliable for this team moving forward! I love his energy and passion!

Injuries, no guards, and no 3pt shooting. Rinse and repeat. Over and over.

Wasn't our 41% 3 point shooter 0-5 and missed the game winner?

Who did you want bro? Kuminga ? Booknight? Jabari Smith?

None of those players are scoring or carrying a team. Jett obviously can’t do anything if Caleb Houstan is beating him out for minutes.

Orlando didn’t have assets to make a trade for a top 10-15 player in the last few years. Assets didn’t exist.

Yea it is and I’m tired of people pretending it isn’t.

Carter has games with decent stat lines and always L’s. There is a reason his name was mentioned recently.
