RDV is no Jerry Buss, but he couldn't have done anything to convince Shaq to stay, he didn't miss that layup in the finals, he didn't know Grant Hill would be perennially injured, he didn't drunk dial Dwight, and he certainly did not make those recent god awful trades. We've made some bad decisions as a collective franchise, so whether you choose to believe that falls on the man writing the checks is your own decision. I think you guys are ignoring what we've accomplished already as a young franchise though.

I wouldn't say I or la fritz are ignoring those accomplishments. We have been very successful. But I still think our achilles heel is putting the right people in place to make the right decisions. All I'm saying.

Dwight looks like he's in a world of pain with that back. He may need a few more months in LA.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

He's got magic shorts on. I don't care if I'm reaching, I'm taking that as a positive

I call Photoshop!

Just joking. Closest I got to Dwight is me sitting in his chair in front of his locker. Anyways, that is cool as ****. Where was that at? Doesn't look like the Amway gym.

The quest for a new franchise player and then the subsequent building around said player would offer a sharp contrast to our experience with Dwight Howard. Honestly though, I think Dwight is staying and we'll be spared the hunt for franchise talent and instead strap in as we craft short and medium term plans to surround him with talent.

I don't think Dwight is leaving, but I sort of feel the same way. I have been going to Magic games since when Shaq first came into the league. I think I would lose massive interest in the Magic if they let Dwight go. I would be that frustrated with the organization. But, I also got my Pistons and Heat to root for.

^Ah now I think I remember this from last summer when he visited China. I had the same reaction back then as I did now.

Let's turn this thread positive. This is what we'll look like going into the season (realistically):

POB: Lindsey (In charge of the big picture)
GM: Bower (Lindsey with COMPLETE veto power)
Coach: Malone
Best Player: Dwight

Plan: Clear space and bring in major upgrades next summer

I don't want Bower but I could stomach this scenario. If we could land Hennigan to that GM position, I would call it a GREAT summer.

Lindsey as POBO with Bower as GM isn't happening.

There are going to multiple hires. Someone has to be the GM and someone else has to be the POBO. It may be the other way around but I doubt Lindsey would want the job with someone like Bower above him.

That would be the only way I would take Bower.

11 days until the draft, and there is still no POBO, GM, or Coach... I really hope next week we at least hire a GM... we have to imo... time is ticking

I will lose my patience if we haven't made a hire by Wednesday.
