If the Magic do end up tanking this year, then that means Henny truly is finished in Orlando.

If a bear chits in the woods, does that mean a bear chits in the woods?

If a GM has a worse team after 5 years than he took over, does that make a bad GM?

I'll disagree. We could have tanked better. Most years we only tanked after December. Put butts in the seats the 1st half, tank the 2nd half.

I am sorry the Magic players haven't worked their entire lives to make it to the NBA so they could be the laughing stock of the NBA.

It wasn't the Player's effort in Philly, but they managed the super tank... Not putting it on the players at all.
We could have sat players more. We did shut down players, just not early enough.

Worse?? 20 wins first season after Dwight. Currently at 22 wins. We have more assets, picks and $$$ they we did then. Exactly how are we worse?

Hinkie left Philly in a worse position after he took over, if you just look at wins and losses. But it's obvious there's more to it than that.

They were playing D-Leaguers while most of their 1sts were always injured. Magic has had way more talent throughout the duration of each season.

Yes worse. He took a team with Meer, Reddick and crew which was already almost playoff caliber even without Dwight and this current team is still worse!

Yeah ok, that is hilarious!

So it's Rob's fault that you and half of this board don't understand what a rebuild is? You all should have known once Dwight was traded, that the first 3 seasons were going to be really bad. 15-25 wins bad. Years 4 and 5 is where you should see growth and development. Anyone who thought we could compete, be in playoff contention any sooner is just crazy.

I personally give Rob a pass for last season. We all know, and I'm not to blind to see it, that DeVos/Martins forced the Skiles hire and Tobias trade on Rob. That's just not a wild theory.
As for this season, Rob has his hand picked coach in place now.He took a chance on trading for Ibaka, and signing some vets. Unfortunately things didn't work out as they were envisioned. Rob gets some blame for this season, but so too do Vogel and the players.

Now after the draft and some offseason moves, if we don't see improvement and are still a team competing for a top 5 pick in 2018, then yes Rob should be fired next summer.

If we were tanking for anthony bennett.... then tanking sound like a horrible idea. This goes as a ... one step back to hopefully make one giant leap forward afterwards.

I bolded it for you since you intimate that the team should be developing in years 4 & 5, not tanking.

Probably because our GM feels that he's on the hot seat and would like to save his job. Also, our coach isn't exactly a "tank" coach.

Oh and recently Hennigan said that playoffs are still the goal. Vogel reiterated this sentiment, while Martins said something along the lines of hinting at getting a top pick in the draft and that Hennigan (and everyone else) would e evaluated at seasons end. The fact that he didn't give Hennigan a vote of confidence, to me suggests that they're ready to move on.

Oh great, another bash Henningan post. Wake me up when clown is banned.

Man nothing I have said in the past month has been offensive towards you or any other poster on this forum, or Hennigan for that matter. You asked a question and I responded with an answer that I think most of the board can agree with. THtere was no name calling, or bashing of anyone. If you look back on interviews from Hennigan, Martins, and Vogel over the past 2 weeks, you'll see a differing tone in Martins answers to that of Vogel and Hennigan. Those are facts. I don't understand why you have this need to keep calling people names after you've been warned by the mods multiple times.

Yeah, Nemesis, please refrain from making any comments like this in the future. NEM has been polite and civil with his opinions, particularly in this conversation here, so there's no reason to target him. Also, his answer to your question seems very accurate and wasn't bashing Hennigan at all, just stating some of the obvious things which have been publicly said lately.

Let it be man. Whether people want Hennigan to stay or go, one thing we can all agree on is that this team has been a source of frustration this season (if not the last 3). But we've got some interesting new things to cheer for now with Ross and a draft pick on the way.

well, enough is enough I guess. We've been season ticket holders since the start but I just filled out our cancellation survey. We can take the money and go on a nice vacation we'll actually enjoy. Hopefully they'll be back to being worth watching soon.

As long as we stay in the top 7 i can survive the draft. I like everyones typical top 6 and really like frank ntilikina as my sleeper of the draft. But yeah..... i hope we win the lotto. haha

LOL after what we been through this year that's not good enough. We deserve at least a top 4 pick. I want one of these elite prospects. I haven't really looked into ntilikina yet

I will be very disappointed if we don't end up with one of Jackson, Isaac or Smith(assuming we don't win the draft). This team needs a star, enough of this inconsistent play.
