I kinda wanna argue they only have ONE (1) top-10 who is .. not really injury-prone but scary.. and that is AD. The rest are too old to be considered top-10 EVEN with LBJ. Because if you consider LBJ as top-10 then I can say that the LAkers have 5(five) top-10 not in their primes anymore in Dwight, Melo ,LBJ, AD with RW somewhere between top-15

I don't really understand anything you just wrote but I think it's a little silly to say LeBron isn't top 10 anymore. Obviously we've been waiting for father time to catch up to him for half a decade but I have a tough time, knowing what we know right now, taking that argument seriously.

Hmmm let me break it down

1. PrimeThyme said Lal has 2 top10 players
2. I countered (for me) they only have 1
3. If PrimeThyme considers LBJ to be still top-10 despite ( again for me) he isnt anymore because he is washed then you have to consider Melo and Dwight as top 10 as well even though they are also washed now.

Ah, fantastic reasoning. Can't argue with that

Suggesting LeBron James isn't a top 10 player currently is an insanely spicy take

I'm not a LeBron fan... at all... and even I would say he's a top 10 player. I would like to see RookieStar's top 10 right now.

lol, RookieStar doesn’t just say Lebron is not a top 10 player but he says Lebron is washed which implies he thinks Lebron is nowhere close to the top 10.

So please RookieStar, do share with us not only your top 10 but where in the NBA lowly old-man Lebron ranks.

Well... i based it on last season where I saw a mortal play. I mean if its trur that he was supposedly playing injured and thats why he was "slowed" then he can probably be top 10 again this season if he rests and be fully healthy.

I mran literally top 10?

I would think in any order

1.KD
2. GA
3. Harden
4. Luka
5. Jokic
6. Curry
7. Dame
8. Zion
9. and 10. you can have a battel royale of LBJ withEmbiid, kawhi,Pg,Ja,Beal,Butler,Butler,AD,Klay,Irving,Don,Murray, etc to name a few

2 current top 10 players : Davis and Lebron

Former Allstars:
Westbrook - 9x
Carmelo - 10x
Howard - 8x
Gasol - 3x

I dislike the Lakers as much as the next Magic fan (try living in LA). They still have a ton of experience.

If shooting and health don't become issues, then they will be a team to beat.

lol I apologize if I wasnt being clear.tbf washed in context to his GOAT-like career. There is a difference between a washed LBJ and a washed... Evan? A.afflalo?

well, he had the same ppg, on 1 less shot a game (more efficient) better 3pt %, less apg, same rebounds/steals/blocks. stat wise, he was the same last year as the year before. didnt seem to slow down much, except he missed more games due to injury. but that can happen to anyone. those injuries didnt seem to slow his game down

I have to confess, im.not really much into the numbers kind of guy. So if it was the same as when they won the bubble trophy then good for him doing that even with injuries.

Im talking about he seemed "stoppable" more than ever. Like before when I saw lbj on the break i always knew he couldnt be stopped but not anymore when opponents have the speed to catch up and get back on D. Or when he drives into traffic, he usually scores and even gets and-1 but now seems that he relies on the refs more than ever to produce because opponents can stop/force him to miss.

Man, I have said it before and I’ll say it again. I do not understand the fascination with Zion outside of a highlight real. Sure he is a matchup problem and he sells tickets but if winning meaningful games is important to you, how can you rank him above Kawhi, Lebron and others? This is insane.

Defense, leadership, and intangibles rank very low for Rookiestar

A lot of those guys are solely offense.

They will be. Not to mention the locker room potentially becoming a toxic cesspool over the course of the season. No chance Westbrook and Lebron and Davis and Howard and Melo won't eventually butt heads with one another.

Well I did say it was MY personal view. And l will also admit if you ask me is LBJ a top 5 player 3 seasons ago I would say yes no questions. But asking me now if he is still top 10 esp with last season as basis ( if he was injured for real then that might be the reason why ) then I dont think he is anymore. Ok maybe debatable on the 10th spot but got a lot of rivals for it.

Sadly, this is what the league has come to nowadays. Its all.about offense. In fact i have a sneaking suspicion ( yes yes tinfoil hat) that the league actually discourages players/team from being a good grind down defense ala pistons back in the day by punishing or makong the rules favor offense

Let me ask you this. One on one, LeBron vs Harden. Who wins?
