I would love OG, but my guess is that he will resign with the Knicks for near max.

1- Quickley
2- Simons
3- PG
20- Klay
100- Bridges

Not a fan of adding cancer to the team or guys that are well past their prime/ retiring in one contract when we aren’t in contention.

1. George
2. Quickley
3. Klay
4. Simons
Last/Never. Bridges

I am strongly in favor of guys the Magic could just sign with cap space instead of having to trade for.

This. Although for the right price I would trade a few firsts to take on a veteran point guard. I like CJ McCollum. I do like PG, Quickley and Klay over CJ.

He's my number 1 free agent target this off-season. The type of player he is being a really good defender and shooting the 3 really good as well makes him a great addition to our group of wings.

From what I gather with this board is most people think he's redundant to what we have. I think there's plenty of minutes in the wing rotation for him. The other knock is his injury history which is undeniable. Lastly is his max or near max contract he's going to get. This is where my thoughts differ on OG. His injury history and contract are going to go hand in hand. No GM in there right mind should give OG a max contract to miss a bunch of the season every year.

I feel like his contract should reflect the player he is. He is a difference maker, however he misses a lot of time. I don't think he's that close to max. I could see 25-30 per year but nothing in the 40s.

At the end of the day, PG will probably sign with whoever offers him the biggest contract. I dont know about the Magic signing him to a max, but he would be a great fit and I think he's the type of player this FO would love.

I like this!

PG health and leadership throws me off . Seems like he has a ton of respect for Paolo so that would be big.

He just doesn’t show up in the playoffs.

Paolo put up better numbers outside of TOs in his first trip.

The money scares the hell out of me for PG. we can do better!

Yeah...but don't get your hopes up for Quickley. We'd probably have to throw a ridiculous offer. Best option would be to approach them with a SnT, assuming IQ would welcome it...I can tell you that the TOR boards don't...always a ridiculous "gatekeeper" or two there.

I don't think it's a terrible move. It just really can't be the only move they make. They still need to add a facilitating lead guard and then make some trades to balance the roster out.

At the end of the day, Klay did make 268 threes last year at 39% which was a "down" year for him percentage wise.

268 made threes in one season would be a Magic franchise record. The Magic's top 3PT makes guy last year only had 153 and only two guys cracked 100 period.

Klay, even at 34, is still one of the best high volume, high accuracy shooters in the game.

I am obviously very weary about what he has left defensively (IMO not much), but he'll help this team on offense, perhaps significantly.

If they go the "sign Klay to replace Gary and nothing else" route, then it's a problem.

If you had to guess.

What other move(s) do you think they would make if Klay is absolutely getting signed here? He’s looking to get paid. Possibly way more here than anyone else would pay him.
