I don't think it's a terrible move. It just really can't be the only move they make. They still need to add a facilitating lead guard and then make some trades to balance the roster out.
At the end of the day, Klay did make 268 threes last year at 39% which was a "down" year for him percentage wise.
268 made threes in one season would be a Magic franchise record. The Magic's top 3PT makes guy last year only had 153 and only two guys cracked 100 period.
Klay, even at 34, is still one of the best high volume, high accuracy shooters in the game.
I am obviously very weary about what he has left defensively (IMO not much), but he'll help this team on offense, perhaps significantly.
If they go the "sign Klay to replace Gary and nothing else" route, then it's a problem.
