So then why do so many posters like they know and are either (i) upset for not taking the perceived deal a while ago or (ii) are certain that their offer has changed?

Hence, Dwight feels duped by Martins.
Also said he wouldn't be surprised if D12 had to miss the start of the season due to the back. Said D12 had to cancel a trip to China because of the rehab.
Well he didn't exactly finish the season. I know it was an injury, but it wasn't just that, it was bailing on the team. Running to LA, not supporting the team in the playoffs. I'd say Dwight broke the deal first (if that was the deal). My opinion of course.

Well, At least Duhon isn't causing controversy.
I heard he's been working hard this off season, and is now able to get passed half court in 10 seconds...

So I assume you think Howard has increased his value and desirability over the last few weeks? I don't think he has. What exactly Houston was offering is not the point. The point IS that Howard's trade value is falling in my opinion. Is there anyone who thinks teams will be willing to give more for Howard now then they were before what has transpired over the last few weeks? I hope I am wrong but simple logic says otherwise. It's not that I am in a "hurry" to get rid of Howard (although I will be glad when it is over). It is that Howard is doing all he can to poison the well and that is NOT helping our cause...or ironically his. He wants to be traded but by his words and actions he is making it increasingly difficult.

Trade Dwight to Houston for the Toronto Pick and Kevin Martin, and call it a day. Live and learn, but most importantly move on.
