Hennigan doesn't strike me as a guy that shows up to a big meeting like this without a plan. Anyone that believes that knows nothing about our gm. One of his prerequisites for coach is preparation and he shows up to a meeting with no plans on improving the team? Bullspit....that's Howard's camp with their smear campaign tactics. "Hennigan didn't come with a plan" = "hennigan didn't come with a plan that WE wanted."

Moving on hopefully Hennigan will get as much value as possible. At this point what's going out (contracts) is even more valuable.

So I assume you think Howard has increased his value and desirability over the last few weeks? I don't think he has. What exactly Houston was offering is not the point. The point IS that Howard's trade value is falling in my opinion. Is there anyone who thinks teams will be willing to give more for Howard now then they were before what has transpired over the last few weeks? I hope I am wrong but simple logic says otherwise. It's not that I am in a "hurry" to get rid of Howard (although I will be glad when it is over). It is that Howard is doing all he can to poison the well and that is NOT helping our cause...or ironically his. He wants to be traded but by his words and actions he is making it increasingly difficult.

im cool with multiple 1st round picks from cleveland. all it takes is one of bynum and irving to go down and those picks are top 10. plus tristan thompson is an asset

lakers take jrich and cleveland gets turk. downside is we get to watch dwight win titles in LA and start a dynasty over there.

Hence, Dwight feels duped by Martins.

Also said he wouldn't be surprised if D12 had to miss the start of the season due to the back. Said D12 had to cancel a trip to China because of the rehab.

Well he didn't exactly finish the season. I know it was an injury, but it wasn't just that, it was bailing on the team. Running to LA, not supporting the team in the playoffs. I'd say Dwight broke the deal first (if that was the deal). My opinion of course.

Well, he got his surgery in LA and his doctor said not to travel

=(

Well, At least Duhon isn't causing controversy.

I heard he's been working hard this off season, and is now able to get passed half court in 10 seconds...

Mid-round draft picks just aren't worth it. Those picks aren't going to turn us into a contender.

Trade Dwight to Houston for the Toronto Pick and Kevin Martin, and call it a day. Live and learn, but most importantly move on.

In my opinion, D12's stock hasn't changed from before yesterday to today. The only recent change was his possible inclusion of LAL to his list to places he would sign an extension/new contract.

Before the meeting he wanted to go to Nets and probably the Lakers. What came out of the meeting the was was different? If that is true, how has his stock changed?

Everyone - including Houston - knew that if it wasn't the location of his choice, he was going to leave as a FA.

Do you think that Houston haven't talked to D12/Feagan/etc at all? Do you think they had no clue before yesterday that Houston wasn't a preferred destination for D12?

The more this drags on the more I see us on opening night with Dwight on the roster. That new wiretap has got me really puzzled and annoyed, Dwight told everyone to never listen to the media and only what comes out of the horses mouth but you really do have to question this whole situation. To be honest I saw Dwight retiring as a Magician but things aint always what they seem, I want this Dwightmare to be over with already. Kmart+Lamb+Toronto 1st, get it done Henny...

I could see the Magic doing what the Nuggets did with Melo. They could start the season with D12 and wait for other teams to come to the table or the Rockets to improve their offer. The Rockets, along with other teams, will have until January, when the Nets re-emerge, as their best chance to land D12.

Look at the Rockets roster though.

They could be well on thier way to the #1 pick at the trade deadline. Furthermore, it hurts the Magic pick position as well.

Trading for Dwight at the deadline doesn't make sense for us or the Magic. Offers aren't going to get better.

Nah, Rockets will be out of the picture once the season starts. Howard's value to them drops significantly once games are played. They want him for the full season, not 2/3 of one. Also, Melo wanted to go to NY, Howard does not want to go to Houston. We'll only get value out of Houston late if Bynum is involved. We either need to trade Dwight before the season or to LA whenever. Waiting seems like a terrible option as we need to be losing games next season, not winning with what would essentially be a Dwight rental.
