If the injury happened weeks ago why wasn't Isaac back by December/January at the latest? That doesn't explain whatsoever why he missed 15 plus months from an ACL injury. Weltman has fed us nothing but bs for months, all in an attempt to hide the setback.
My guess is this injury happened around training camp. There was a sense even from interviews with Isaac around this time that he was due to come back soon, but something clearly happened. I think he suffered a major hamstring injury and they've been trying to avoid surgery while rehabbing it. That obviously didn't work, and thus here we are. I don't think we would have ever heard about it but Shams clearly caught wind of it evidenced by his now-deleted tweet. The weirdest part is how he hasn't said anything about it since. I've never seen him delete a tweet and then not repost at the very least a similar edited version of it. It seems to me that the organization put heat on him or his sources.
To some, this will all sound conspiratorial, but they've been saying it the whole time as many of us have said there was an obvious setback. The smoke and breadcrumbs are there if you look for them.
What is the logical sense of doing that though? If they said specifically he had a setback in the beginning of the year, (A Developmental Season to add) nobody cares and there aren't expectations until 22-23 since people understand he's had a lengthy injury history.
Plus, if he had 1-2 injury setbacks during this time and they kept lying about it would run the risk of them looking like total idiots if the truth did come out. Plus, with them having that specific injury clause in his contract it would be even more ridiculous to lie about his progress.
