Been reading the Dallas Board? I think you've hit upon something here that makes real sense. Cuban is not going to waste Dirk's prime years. They've added Marion, re-signed Kidd, signed Gooden & Ross, kept Terry & Howard, and traded for end of the roster junk & expirings. Dampier is their center & the team has an option on his contract after this year. He could be traded even up for Sam or the junk you've mentioned would work money=wise. Philly also has the roster space which may also be a reason that Stefansky hasn't signed any FAs. Interesting speculation. I've read on the Dallas Board that Cuban likes Dalembert. I just don't see them sitting still. He could of course make a play for one of the Clipper bigs but I think Dalembert might be a real consideration.
