Look deeper , he is only attempting 2.2 3s a game.

Jonas is underrated though , having a decent season so far.
Just not the 3 point guru he 1st appears to be.

Royce O’Neal is Byron Russell reincarnated. A jazz player who has the Jazz delusional over his defensive prowess.

The fact that it took Min this long to realize what they have in Vando is all I need to know about that organization. The front office has been supplying talent and the coaching staff is wasting it. Nowell needs 20+ minutes too.

This is the best I've ever seen O'Neal look defensively. 2.7% steal, 2.1% block. He's been all over the court wreaking havoc. Likely because they've been playing him at SF this year so he doesn't have to chase around guys much quicker than him.

But I agree, in general, O'Neal has been dramatically overrated defensively until this year.

He’s just a deflection guy. If you can remember our game last season, we won the game on OT where Tobi attacked him on defense and carried us to win the game.

If you run PnR or dribble drive and force Gobert to step out. Can he rotate to the paint and protect a guy driving to the rim or trying to score off a backdoor cut?

He’s just 6’4”, even if he has to rotate to the shooters he doesnt have enough length to cover.

The perfect defense IMO is the Bucks. And if you can’t or don’t want that much size on defense, then you need a plethora of 6’7-6’9 wings who can shoot like the Warriors.

Still only November, but I'm comfortable in saying this Lakers roster will not get it done in 2022.

And now we are reminded why MPJ fell so far in the draft.

Kemba is far from the problem in New York.

Honestly, R.J. Barrett has been their biggest issue from the perimeter. He's the worst defensive player on the team and he's been really bad on offense.

Also, their bigs are awful outside of Obi Toppin. Noel, Robinson, and Gipson have been putrid on offense.

He's a sniper with good length, wish we could have snatched him up.
