two totally different situations
I know the Sixers have screwed up in the past, but what makes you feel so angry with their reporting this time? If it's the misdiagnosis then it's quite late to react to that, that ship has sailed at this point. You're not denying an injury do you? The muscular imbalance thing makes perfect sense.
Board becomes really hard to follow with all the Markelle Fultz hate, Brett Brown accusations after every loss and you ranting for whatever reason is exemplary.
I've explained it already in this thread a few times, don't feel like doing it again. Also the fact they came out and said there is 0 pain, 0 muscular imbalance now, and there was STILL not a single time table or update given. If those issues are gone, he should be at the very least practicing now with the team, it was reported 2 weeks ago he was going to start doing bball activities... aka sounds like they were going to have him shoot to make sure they pain stays away, and it apparently did, and yet here we are with still no time table.
That once again tells me there is ALSO an issue with fultz shot/mental state
usually when you are 100% recovered, you come back... but nope, not fultz
Medical update 19 November:
"
Philadelphia 76ers guard Markelle Fultz was examined and evaluated today by Dr. Ben Kibler, Medical Director of the Shoulder Center of Kentucky at the Lexington Clinic, for the soreness and scapular muscle imbalance that he has been experiencing in his right shoulder. The soreness is dissipating and the muscle balance is improving, and Fultz will continue with physiotherapy and begin progressing toward full basketball activities. Fultz will be re-evaluated in approximately two to three weeks. His return to gameplay will be determined by how the shoulder responds to progressive basketball training and practices in the interim."
Now nearly three weeks later, the soreness and muscular imbalance are gone, instead of "disspating" and "improving", so from now on he will work on his return. What do you expect from them now, do you want an exact date of his return date?
Because I can assure you, part of this IS a mental issue, which is completely normal if you've been fighting through an injury for months. Let the kid cure and regain his confidence, him becoming the best prospect he can be is far more important than rushing him back for the sake of it. Giving a date will only put pressure on him and gives the media an opportunity to wonder what went wrong etc when he's not completely ready at that time.
Also keep in mind that he's absolutely not in match conditioning at this point. Even if he's completely healthy at this point it will take some time to get him into shape.
