That’s very very bad trade, and Morey did the right thing not making it.

Don’t forget we had to trade Danny too for salary purposes

Ehhh, can’t speak for the Aussies on this board, but as someone who’s lived in Australia since I was 15, I don’t think that’s the case at all. Most Aussie nba fans I know don’t really **** with him. It’s true that Aussie’s love sport and love their athletes, but they tend to gravitate towards the “battlers”. The overachievers. Guys like Patty Mills and Joe Ingles who are basically national treasures here, yet the perception of Simmons here is that he’s a coddled brat who can’t handle criticism.
To be clear i was talking about the few people on here still blindly defending him, not people from Australia.

I hate that Embiid is flat out lying about Simmons being the reason they traded Butler and that Horford was brought in to help Ben (Like seriously WTF).

I personally can't stand Ben and I think its some awesome karma he is now getting back. But I can still sit in awe at how delusional Philly and the rest of the fans have become. I can see a character assassination when I see it.
I hate the way Philly fans turned on him though and made this 100% his fault when coaching was as much to blame.
I hate that Philly fans think its ok to boo players... and I don't just mean Simmons but guys in the past like RoCo. Philly people seem to have some sort of misplaced pride in this, which I will never ever get.

I hate Doc Rivers. He is an overrated coach who cares more about politics than trying to figure out why his teams choke every year. I hate that he flat out lied about being misconstrued in his initial comments about Simmons after the game.
I hate that Philly fans who have been wanting him to be traded for 4 months, now suddenly are upset that he isn't coming back. Hypocrites.
I hate that Philly fans talk about what a bum he is but demand all star talent in return... and the complain when they can't get a trade for him.
Ben doesn't have my support at all... but Morey, Embiid, Rivers and their fans have acted like jackasses in this. I certainly won't be supporting Ben wherever he goes but I won't be supporting Philly either anymore.

Between Vassell and Keldon, Keldon for me would be ready to contribute right away while Vassell is way better as a collegiate prospect and I view him as a higher upside player.
If I have to rank Primo, White, Murray, Vassell and Keldon..
1.) Primo
2.) Vassell
3.) Keldon
4.) White
5.) Murray
Im interested in taking my chances on Primo, Vassell and picks. Then I need White and Keldon for guys who can step in and contribute right away.
You keep +1 my posts where I talk about Spurs making no sense to me as a trade partner, because White and Murray are bad shooters, and the rest of their young players won’t help us win now, but then you post yourself a lot about the Spurs that you’ll make a deal with them.
I’m confused.

First, spurs is my least preferred trading partner among the teams were rumored with.
Second, the assets i want from them are not White and Murray. White is an OK player that I think is very similar with Shake that he will be a good fit with our team but I dont value him that high to make him a one of the centerpiece of the deal.
The guys I want from the Spurs are Primo then a big gap then Vassell and Keldon. Those players and picks.

Got it. I would much rather prefer to never talk about the Spurs players you mentioned rather then talk about them all year. So yeah, we better not deal with Spurs.

A lot of their guys are long shot to me.
If you look at my preference my ranking is in terms of which asset’s value is likely to increase in the future.
Its one of those trades where I give up 75 cents on a dollar with a chance to turn 75 cents into $1.25
I’d let Primo develop on the side. Use Vassell and Keldon by letting them fill the big hole at my wing position, which will increase their value. Then trade one or both guys along with my pick by draft day to move up into the lottery. Both guys can shoot and aren’t that bad on defense that if you pair one or both of them with a duo of Thybulle or Green and Embiid or Drummond, you’d still be a good defensive team.
And the reason why its not high on my preference is because as you can see you need to cross several bridges to get to your desired outcome.

In order to develop players, you have to play them, right? Not just garbage minutes, but a lot.
I don’t see them making regular rotations this year or next on a Sixers team when I look at the players we have under contract.
