I'd agree with that. especially if we don't shoot for the stars and cap hell with someone like Lauri haha.

Yeah, I’m actually one of the few who would just double down at this point and go for broke and get Lauri. But if Morey can’t’/won’t do that, I want Cam Johnson.
always a jump shot away.

I guess the part I forgot about is that he'll be our 3rd option. An overpay due to age but the potential is absolutely worth it...

This is a ring move, which I love. Jojo lead us. He will kill the Celtics with this one move. Just one wing to guard for Jason then we beat Bosten,

Jojo wiil get his 50, game over

Clippers fan here, Congrats on getting Paul George. Great shooter and defender but horrible passer. PG will be fine as long as he's not running pick and rolls with Embiid. A lot of what Dan Dikach said was true back in 2017 video below. I had to witness it as a Clipper fan to believe it.

No public post or comments from P yet.

Feels sort of anticlimactic from both sides despite it being a huge signing. 2 pages y’all lol.

I’m just thinking about all the open looks that Tobias dribbled into a possession reset now being George 3s.

Not salty, I'm happy we didn't max him for 4 years. Remember that video though, it describes PG perfectly.
I'll check back next May and see how you feel about PG :D

It seems like a lot of Clipper fan frustration stems from the fact that George could not handle playmaking duties and became turnover prone when asked to do so. Given that his tandem superstar there doesn't have much of that ability himself and they effectively ran a PG less lineup most of the time there makes it a bigger factor there than with the Sixers.

I think it won't really show itself to be a problem in the regular season here as Embiid has developed into a playmaking hub and Maxey has elevated his game but I can see how it could be a problem in the playoffs. We are hoping that George's ISO scoring is a buffer when offense gets bogged down (what Tobias was supposed to offer in theory).

He's a better fit here than the recent Clipper rosters but I do kind of get why the Clipper fans are mostly of the good riddance mindset. But I think they should consider that it shouldn't have been on George's shoulder to carry the burden of Leonard's shortcomings as a player (I'm only talking about Leonard on the court, not his availability). That's not his skillset. Here he'll primarily be tasked to do the things he is good at.

I believe we'll be fine as long as we play within Nurse's system, emphasizing ball movement and multiple drive-and-draw actions. The problem with the Clippers, similar to what we saw with James Harden, was stagnant ball movement, a slow pace, and an offense that eventually became predictable.

During the regular season, that makes sense. But, the playoffs will require several possessions that require iso scoring and hopefully they find the rhythm for that between the 3 plus allowing Oubre to take advantage of mismatches which he did vs the Knicks when they were hiding Brunson on him after it took Nurse a few games to realize they need a 3rd scorer.

But within the system, I'm fine with Joel looking for easy buckets. But in the 4th focus on putbacks, open shots created for him and when he's a hub, actually giving it up or taking advantage when they literally over play the pass. Joel can still be dominant playing that way throughout the season truly and allowing pg and Maxey to carry the offense

Too Soon. Let's wait a couple more seasons when PG winds down so the Clippers can send us his lottery replacement.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

I dont expect him to play anywhere close to superstar level.

If he can play at least at something like a peak Khris Midelton type of player, hes going to be huge for us and it was a signing you had to make at this point. I think thats a realistic goal at this stage of his carreer.

No salt at all, just sharing a neutral, informative video that happens to be called ‘Paul’s George is a fraud.’

thanks. I've been a Clipper fan since 98 so it'll be like the good old days.
