What kind of talent does this team have other than cousins, gay, and Lawson? They got Darren collison, Ben mclemore, afflalo, and who else? Last year Karl did a pretty good job with this team. Mainly, he devised a system that got the best out of rondo and cousins. From what I've Joerger is a good head coach, but I just don't see anything positive about what he has to work with. This team is a disaster. I give Karl credit for last year, I think he got the Kings to overachieve last year, considering the chemistry issues and the complete lack of interest in playing defense. Maybe Joerger can keep the ship afloat, but I just don't see it.

I completely forgot that they lost Rondo. Yeah, they are going to have a hard time improving significantly without a good point guard.

I put out a Mock, to start thinking about this class myself and organize my thoughts a bit,

Mock Draft 2017

1.Image Josh Jackson Wing/Combo-Forward Kansas 16.Image Jayson Tatum Wing/Combo-Forward Duke
2.Image Dennis Smith Jr. Guard North Carolina St. 17.Image Ray Smith Wing/Combo-Forward Arizona
3.Image Markelle Fultz Guard Washington 18.Image Josh Hart Wing Villanova
4.Image OG Anunoby Wing/Combo-Forward Indiana 19.Image Jonathan Isaac Combo-Forward Florida St.
5.Image Frank Ntilikina Guard France 20.Image Terrance Ferguson Wing USA
6.Image Harry Giles Big Duke 21.Image Bam Adebayo Big Kentucky
7.Image Lonzo Ball Guard UCLA 22.Image Edmond Sumner Guard Xavier
8.Image Malik Monk Guard Kentucky 23.Image De'Aaron Fox Guard Kentucky
9.Image Miles Bridges Combo-Forward Michigan St. 24.Image DJ Hogg Combo-Forward Texas A&M
10.Image Ivan Rabb Big California 25.Image Kostja Mushidi Wing Germany
11.Image Tyler Lydon Combo-Forward Syracuse 26.Image Marques Bolden Big Duke
12.Image Lauri Markkanen Big Arizona 27.Image Nik Slavica Wing/Combo-Forward Croatia

14.Image Jarrett Allen Big Texas 29.Image Jaron Blossomgame Wing/Combo-Forward Clemson
15.Image Mikal Bridges Wing Villanova 30.Image Allonzo Trier Wing Arizona

Order is sort of my prediction at this point for NBA next seasons standings
Traded picks in the 1st,
BOS have the right to change their pick with Brooklyn's.
DEN gets MEM's pick
TOR gets LA's pick
UTA gets Golden St's pick

Guys that could've made it,

Jawun Evans Guard Oklahoma St.
Devonte Graham Guard Kansas
Monte Morris Guard Iowa St.
Grayson Allen Guard Duke
Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk Wing Kansas
Vince Edwards Wing/Combo-Forward Purdue
VJ Beachem Wing/Combo-Forward Notre Dame
Justin Jackson Wing/Combo-Forward North Carolina
Dedric Lawson Combo-Forward Memphis
Kyle Kuzma Combo-Forward Utah
Carlton Bragg Combo-Forward Kansas
Chance Comanche Big Arizona
Chimezie Metu Big USC
Caleb Swanigan Big Purdue
Jessie Govan Big Georgetown

The rest that you might think should/could be there probably are mocked as not declaring, for example (Hartenstein, Jackson, Jeanne or Yurtseven).

...and that Josh Hart is at least 20 spots too early.

I guess that you are assuming that Harry Giles doesn't come all the way back from injury because, if he does, I think that he is going number 1.

Smith vs. Fultz would be a really interesting debate if we ended up picking #2. Smith is a hot name right now, but I'd still lean Fultz.

It's a difficult decision obviously, I put Smith there because I like his ceiling a tad more, he is a better shooter and athlete, Fultz could make sense too of course.

As for Bam, I just dont like him all that much, he is a great athlete but he seems to try to do always too much offensively and cant really shoot or pass, he looks like a 3rd big to me long-term.

I still haven't seen either Smith or Fultz play any real games, but I thought the general perception was that Fultz was the better shooter?

I'm not sure which one of them is the better shooter, but it's not exactly a strength for either. Neither of them are in the same stratosphere as Kyrie when it comes to shooting. It's something that they'll both have to work on. Smith is definitely more athletic, but Fultz is bigger/longer. Fultz is 6'4 with a 6'10 wingspan. Tons of defensive potential there. DSJ is 6'1 with a 6'3 wingspan. He'll probably be more limited in who he can guard.

Yeah that's the comparison that I keep seeing. Steve Francis with his head screwed on right, which is a scary thing to imagine.

His ballhandling and shooting/touch are much better than Francis were.

If Bam Adebayo is picked later than 20 on talent, or lack thereof, alone (as in, he doesn't get injured), I'll never contest anything you say ever again.

It's just a ludicrous statement, but then again, Towns is an overrated prospect.

If Giles is healthy, I doubt he drops out of the top 3.

This could be incredibly tough. Fultz is probably the better all-around player and fit, but Smith has that Iverson-type excitement around him when he plays. You're afraid to take your eyes off him because he could do something special at any moment.

Lonzo Ball won't go in the lotto, if he even leaves this year.

the chemistry issues and the complete lack of interest in playing defense is completely on the coach. Karl did a horrible job there, including not getting alone with his star player.
