His competition was Tatum

I started following the Sixers in Ben’s redshirt year, and became enamoured of Embiid, health aside he is likely the best Center in the NBA, and offensively at least is suited to many of the spots that also suit Ben. I have come to understand the frustration of the Sixers fans with Ben not shooting. Embiid and Ben actually mainly have good numbers together. There is not much doubt however that Embiid has been more effective in terms of beating the better teams thus far.
Ben may be on the cusp of working things out, the FTs lately are encouraging as I and others have said. That is basically the frustration of the Sixers fans methinks, if he is confident about making his FTs and continues to finish aggressively that will add considerably to his game even without a jumper, but even a mediocre jumper would make him (\and the Sixers) fairly unstoppable.
Well there is a direct flight San Francisco to Melbourne so maybe.
Oh and you're not even a real Sixes fan!! you're a blow in. We all know you pick your sporting teams by the age 10, at the latest, and you never change!!! Did you support another NBA team before Simmons was drafted to the Philadelphia 76ers? If so, blow in.
No, I am a GSW fan as I think is well known having got on board the bandwagon with Australia’s previous number 1 draft pick, and am sticking with them, but fortunately have the Sixers to follow as a second team this year.
This is why I am acutely aware of how annoying it is for posters on team sites for people to be only interested in a single player but not really their team. As I believe I said, success for me in a sport like basketball can only be team success. I also really like Embiid as a player anyway.
“That needs to be continued to be grown,” coach Brett Brown said Thursday. "It will mean. It will mean. I’m not saying, ‘It may mean.’ I’m saying it will mean that he’s not the primary ballhandler when you put him in those situations ...
“So really, it’s a goal and sort of the growth of Ben to put him in all these environments where he’s really good at and can impact the game at.”
I think it's pretty clear that what you can take from this is Brett is saying in the half court setting, Ben will not be the primary ball handler rather he will be in a different role, and in the fast break he will be the primary ball handler. Which makes sense. And I think we are seeing it more and more.Stonk wrote:You all aren't reading the article. He's just saying when they play Ben as a roller/screener he won't be the primary ball handler, which is obvious no?

GSW, very nice.
Yeah I don't have "second teams”' my view of the world is, I support my team and basically hate every other team in the competition.
As I said, I am enjoying reading the Ben hate, it is hilarious.

What game were you watching? In fast break situations, Ben clearly pushed it up the floor and looked for an open man to pass it off as soon as he crossed half court. In the actual half court setting, Shake Milton was handling the ball over and over. Actually working pick and rolls with Ben a lot more than I've ever seen that action. Shake had 27 points and 6 assists, and was regularly the ball handler in pick and roll situations with Embiid and Simmons in the half court.Stonk wrote:51X3RF4N wrote:I think it's pretty clear that what you can take from this is Brett is saying in the half court setting, Ben will not be the primary ball handler rather he will be in a different role, and in the fast break he will be the primary ball handler. No it's not "pretty clear".
He was still the ball handler in half court against the Hawks just now too.

I cringe when players do that

I've been out for a while, is that the first time you recognize Ben Simmons is for real? If so, great job my friend.
Or you're just trolling again?
