Also, it's difficult to get any reasonable cap space once you factor in Maxey's $13 million cap hold, Bball Paul's contract, Harden's potential deal, and Melton needing to be paid.

Let's assume we only have Embiid, Tucker, Springer, Bball ($5 million), & Springer on the books next summer. That's $84 million without factoring in Melton, Tobias, or Harden. The cap this coming season is $136 million. If they extend Melton for $16 million/year you don't even have max cap space left and you'd be letting Tobias and Harden walk for free.

I wouldn't be surprised if he trades Harden to the Clippers for two firsts, expirings, and Mann. Then flips one of our 1sts, one of the Clippers 1st, Maxey, and Tobias for Dame.

Dame
Melton
Mann
Tucker
Embiid

is a pretty damn good team. Consolidating Maxey & Harden into Mann & Dame makes some sense. It's hard to fit Harden & Embiid with Maxey once he gets a new deal. I just don't see how we trade for someone like Lavine. The money doesn't add up. Consolidating is something Morey likes doing. It makes sense on court and also for the cap.

Basically trading Harden + Maxey for Lillard + Mann is a major downgrade. You're trading 2 stars for 1 star with a terrible contract and a role player.

No chance Morey does something like this.

Sixers get Siakim/Morris/Powell/Roco/Thad Young
Clippers get Harden/Tucker
Raptors get Harris/Mann/2 Clippers 1sts
I'd approve of this

Yep. For the Blazers and any non-Heat acquiring teams. All reports I've seen indicate that Lillard is going to be a precious pouty little baby if he doesn't get his way on this. Takes a lot of balls to take that attitude onto your team, especially at the price. The Heat are the only real winners here.

Barney fans are the most delusional on these boards. I wouldn't put any stock into what they think they deserve for a disgruntled expiring star who wants out.

I think that's a reasonable offer, actually. They get no players who have averaged even 10 points per game and only 1 pick. I thought it was a good place to start looking at Siakim's value.

You can make a credible argument that Tobias + Melton is worth just as much as that package if they're concerned with "winning now."

Interesting that Matisse is being depicted by some as a vet and a character guy. He seemed like he was out in space most of the time and doesn't seem to like basketball to me.

Siakam is one of those guys who always does well against you, but when he's on your team and you watch him every night you're like yeeeaaaah, nice player, but not the answer.

I'm sure Morey does have something up his sleeve. He ordered it yesterday when he went to Crumbl.

You have to be careful with which DroppingDimes u see. Only DroppingDimes20 is the real one. There’s about 6 other accounts pretending to be him using 50, 02, etc. he posts something then deactivates about 2 mins after until he comes back to tweet something else. Don’t recall him revisiting Dame talks since he first said Miami was getting a star from PNW before Dame requested a trade.

Damn such a depressing fan base.

Don’t want Lillard. Don’t want Siakam. Don’t want Towns. Don’t want Harden. Didn’t want Durant or LeBron. Half the time don’t even want Embiid lol.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Watford/Barlow/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

Agreed beggars can't be choosers.

Prime LeBron, KD, or Jimmy aren't walking through that door.

Lol was just thinking exactly this but we get Mann and Thad stays in Toronto. Possibly send a protected 1st or swap to Toronto as well.

Maxey/Melton/Beverley
Powell/Springer/Korkmaz
Covington/Mann/House
Siakam/Morris/Petrusev
Embiid/Reed/Bamba

I think they’ve gotta get Mann in that trade just given that they’re the only team not getting an all star in return. Cap relief + Mann + picks would have to be the sell if I’m them.

Also didn’t Siakim & Nurse have their “falling out” in 2021? Seems like they’ve probably buried the hatchet on that stuff a while ago.

I think the majority of people did. Pretty much everyone but the Ben Stans that aren't still around.

Yeah that's what I recall.
