Chelsea and AC Milan could be planning a swap deal to bring Fernando Torres to Italy, and Robinho to London.

According to reports in talkSPORT, the two football giants are looking at doing a deal in January as both seek to fill missing links in their attack.

The Spaniard has simply not been able to sparkle for Chelsea after a big money £50million transfer from Liverpool in January, and it has not helped matters that recent reports revealed he slammed his own squad's midfielders for being "very slow".

Although Blues boss Andre Villa-Boas has not reacted to Torres' outburst, with six first team strikers in his squad, the Portuguese could well decide that Torres is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.

According to Sportmediaset, which is run by AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi, the Serie A giants could make a shock move to bring in Torres in exchange for Robinho.

AC Milan have long been admirers of the striker from his days with Atletico Madrid, and are willing to give him an escape from his troubles in London.

The deal is far from agreed though, as Chelsea are keen to bring in Alexandre Pato in exchange, rather than Robinho, but the Serie A side are adamant that only Robinho is surplus to requirements at the San Siro.

When I read Torres swap with Milan, I assumed one of Pato or Ibra would be involved but these guys can't even make good football rumors.

Yea, I didn't think Mata was that great either today. He was still pretty good overall but he wasn't as incisive as he'd been in past games, which I suppose is to be expected given the level of competition.

Phil Jones is pure class. United have an absolute spoil of riches in the back this year. I think if they end up winning the title it'll be because of the defensive quality they have, assuming De Gea settles in and he looks to be doing so.

Nani was immense today too. I was also shocked that Bosingwa kept Ashley Young in check today. If you told me that before the season I'd have laughed at you.

Never played RB for us and was apparently really bad there for Benfica. But yeah, Bosingwa's just too unreliable and inconsistent. Even today, he looked great at times against Young, but was often nowhere to be found.

And even worse considering Chelsea would never consider Robinho again after that whole fiasco

Yeah I was implying more of Luiz in central defense and Ivanovic on the right.

Theres no way in hell milan would swap Pato for Torres.

I thought Cole was much more useless than Bosingwa. He was getting destroyed by Nani and really anybody else who wanted to run at him. He should've been sent off imo as well for that challenge on Hernandez, or should've at least been a penalty. At least Bosingwa had some good moments, I can't think of one for Cole. Sturridge, who I actually like, seemed like he was trying to do too much.

Just watched the highlights from Spurs and Liverpool.

Surprised no one mentioned the easy finish Defoe screwed up.

Liverpool have some problems with the back 4 though, the right back spot seems like a rotating door with whoever steps in getting their ass kicked the next game and Carragher is older and more slow. The Agger injury could have them dropping some points.

This was pretty much a replay of that.

Rooney had a terrible game though and he could have scored a hat trick. The penalty miss, passing up the 1 on 1 and then screwing up an easy finish straight to Cech. Even his short range passing sucked.

Why don't the English players just leave the penalty kicks for their foreign teammates?

At least they wouldn't embarass themselves then. Penalty shooting is obviously something English players aren't capable of doing.

I thought so too that Bosingwa/Cole was the worst player for us, thought we could've used Luiz because of his pace against Hernandez/Rooney duo but Ivanovic and Terry with the help of Ramires and Meireles actually played really well and kept those 2 relatively quiet. Our full backs couldn't do anything against Young/Nani and rightly so destroyed us.

Sturridge as well had a bad game, he just kept shooting every time he got the ball, it was so frustrating to watch, but he was energetic and was up for it, unfortunately his performance couldn't keep up with his enthusiasm.

Torres/Mata/Meireles/Ramires and Anelka when he came on all played brilliantly for us, with this performance wouldn't be surprised if AVB goes with the 4-2-3-1 for the next game because we looked really dangerous after half time.

MOTM for me though has to be either Nani or Phil Jones, this kid is special. I was actually advertising for Chelsea to get him before we went for Luiz. If only....

Meh, I love Luiz and don't really care about that. I just wish Levy sold Modric. Him instead of Lamps, and we win even without solving the FB problems.

Villa is undefeated! WOO. Watch out EPL because not only are we unbeatable, but our big summer singing N'Zogbia has really come on as of late. He's gone from completely invisible to below average, SCORE!

Thank god for Gabby...

Gah, knocked out by Bolton. Bannan looks to be a solid passing mid, still not that great though. We have the makings of a team that isn't bad enough to be relegated and is nowhere near good enough to contest for a Europa spot.

How do the Man U fans like Young? From what I've seen of them this year he's been excelling just as he did at Villa. IDK how anyone could say that Downing was more important to Villa last year than Young. If you're going 100% by stats and if the player is left footed then ya Downing was more important. But if you watched Villa then you'd know Young was the one making incisive passes/runs and Downing was the guy being a Chicharito-esque tap in whore.

And damn Phil Jones has some balls, that dude is something else.

Actually lots of Villa fans have said that Downing had a better and much more consistent season than Young last year. He did win the Players' POTY, Fans' POTY and Sponsor's POTY. It obviously doesn't necessarily mean that Downing is/was the more talented player though. As for Young at United, for one thing, his crosses are really helping the team. Last Sunday wasn't his greatest game, but he put some very dangerous balls into the box. Good signing.

Young had a great preseason and almost formed an immediate understanding with Rooney, which has helped us a lot. His set piece delivery has been superb thus far and he's being solid, which is all we ask for from the left wing. SOlid player though and like most players he lifted his level by playing next to quality players at United.

Nani on the other hand has been a cut above so its kind of hard to appreciate Young so early in the seasons.

Yep, Nani is overshadowing what Young has been doing for United. Not saying Young hasn't been good so far (he has) but Nani is in excellent form so far.

With that said, it's good to have a player like Young on the left side that can dribble the ball well enough and crosses the ball at a good rate too. He has a good understanding of the game.

And yeah, Phil Jones is going to be something. Boy, that kid can play.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm kinda annoyed Nani is as good as he is right now, he definetly isn't in the shadow of CR. I look at my team, who hasn't had a class winger since the 80s, and its a bit... frustrating.

Good Carlo interview. True gentleman from Day 1.

Wonder how the team would have looked like with Pirlo
