That made me angry because we needed rebounding and it didn't end up happening, but with the new roster acquirements I see Channing get a cut in his minutes, although anything can happen. If he can get 25 minutes in a game, with the sporadic 30-35 minutes, then I'd be satisfied.
Yeah, Gentry has a tendency to overplay Frye instead of giving minutes to Lopez for much needed rebounding, defense and inside scoring. I think, once again, Gentry will play Frye the same minutes because Frye's 3 does make this system go. When he's hitting them.
Well even if he is not hitting them, it still opens the middle for guys cutting to the basket, which we now have two in JChill and Warrick. The other team will have to account for Frye, because at any time, he could get hot. Just imagine Dudley and Frye around the three, with Goran, JChill, and Warrick causing trouble all over the place. I actually think our bench got better. If Warrick and Frye can focus on rebounding the ball on the defensive end, we have a great running second unit.
I also think Jones will give Lopez a workout during practice. Hopefully Lopez can start rebounding at the rate Jones does.
