I could see them dangle him and other pieces in an Anthony Davis trade package. Likely not a guy that will make the Pels get excited but they will shoot high if they look to move him.

Wow. That’s a lot for Siakam

There's actually a player in the 2020 draft named Amar Sylla that compares favoably to Siakim. And he's slated to be available around the late first to early second round.

Oh, so the 60 minute countdown was the countdown to another 30 minute countdown? Any more countdowns to begin in 30 minutes?

Well, I was wrong the 1st time, because in my mind AZ was ET -2 (I don't know why I thought that, I know it's not), so at 9:00 AZ I made my first post saying "starts in 30 min". 30 min later I opened the link and it had a countdown saying "60 min left", so I edited the 1st post to "60"min", but thought it would also update the time of the post, which it didn't. So I should have edited it to "90 mins".

Complicated?

Time is just a mental construct, anyway.

I know. Everything is happening right now. I'm actually watching the press conference as I wait for it...I just don't realize it in my present state.

Interesting phrasing. I'd be surprised if Jackson is on this team 6 weeks from now.

He was just being careful not to speak publicly about what's going on with him.

I liked Monty.

Cool things he said:

1) Compared our players to some former greats, but said "we must make these comparisons carefully. I want our players to be the best version of themselves, and not be put in a box"

2) System will depend on the players. It would be irresponsible to force something upon them that might not fit.

3) Culture comes first. It's the little things that build a winning team, and they are planning on how to create these habits during summer already. It can't be left to figure it out in October, only. With the culture set, the rest comes easier.

4) He likes Sarver. Said he didn't dodge the hard questions, and also made a few to him that showed him he was passionate and diligent.

5) Collaboration. It's clear he and Jones have similar mindsets and will be working together in several decisions. But he understands they have different roles, and they both trust each other to make the best decisions for their respective jobs.

6) When answering about getting to know our players, he mentioned (among others) that he texted Kelly. Seems he'll be here, after all.

7) On the Josh Jackson thing (guys taking sentences without context and trying to influence judgment with it really pisses me off. Yes, you, Sidery!), he said people make mistakes, and they also grow. He is an example of that, and wants to talk to Josh Jackson, look him in the eye, and try to be part of the solution. But Josh needs to want it too (and therefore the "if I can")

I just think his level of play, his salary and the needs of the team - changes need to be made. Two names were really not mentioned in the press conference - TJ Warren and Josh Jackson. Now Douglice Franz (or as I called him DouglASS Franz) asked a question about Josh and was kind of a jerk about it. But telling TJ and Josh not named.

Do we know what Brogdan’s max would be from Milwaukee compared to signing a max offer sheet from another team?

Biggest thing to me Colangelo recommended the job to Williams. Colangelo wants the Suns to win. So Sarver, shut up and let Jones, Monty, Bowers and Bukstein do their damn jobs!!

Yup. First time Colangelo has said anything positive about the Suns front office moves since selling them.

Jones fired Igor as he had Monty as his top candidate and he might have had backchannel discussions even before firing Igor to make sure Monty was on board. You don't fire Igor to have a lengthy list of people to interview. You really fire Igor to get Monty

I am liking Jones more and more.

Yeah I do suspect there were some back channel conversations prior to Igor getting fired. The whole thing sucked for Igor but I do admit I get why Jones would want a handpicked guy. If Jones fails it might be his only shot as a GM it's in his right to have his people with him.
