Answer me this. What team has ever had a winning record while sporting their #4 starting PG as their starter? But yep, let's hear again how EVERY team deals with injuries...sorry but not injuries to it's top 3 options at the "QB" position of basketball. Doesn't happen. And now, is dealing with its starting SF, and starting PF out as well, while the OTHER starting PF, you know, the one that McD DIDN'T draft, has mailed it in until Horny was fired. But hey, let's blame it all on McD, right? And what about this quote from you:

He hired possibly one of the best coaches in the league without really knowing it (I'm sure he thought Jeff was going to be great for the younger players), I think he underestimated dragic's ability, and I'm sure he wasn't 100 percent sure that Bledsoe was going to perform as well as he did. I think he had a grand plan of developing the young team while losing and getting a top 3 pick. I think when we started winning he had to rework his initial plan. But it's all good, we are still not a great team. Just need to upgrade a few places and possibly add an all-star and we will be contenders. I'm
Still enjoying the season.
Everything was kosher back then, wasn't it?? So back to present, where's your 'solution' to this problem?? All I hear from you is "the sky is falling, the sky is falling." And "Colangelo would never tolerate this." You're finally right on something, congrats. He also almost bankrupt this team and the D-Backs, spending other people's money, but sadly, was only successful in building a champion for one of the teams. Or are you talking about Bryan?
Anyway, we are clearly tanking, but at the same time, McD can't come out and say it publicly, so he throw's out quotes like "we are only 5 1/2 games out of the 8th seed, blah, blah, blah." So how come, it's ok for Colangelo to tank, but not McD?? And if not why would he trade Kieff, our best player over the past half a dozen games? We are tanking! Wake up! I'm having a hard time believing that just two years ago, you recognized that teams tank in the NBA, and here you are now, not able to recognize that as our most talented players, (at least those we'd most likely agree on that were our most talented from the beginning of the season), either became injured, or decided to 'mail it in', McD saw the 'writing on the wall' and figured we may as well tank, because we aren't going to be competitive. But at the same time, he can't be overly obvious to the league or fans, so certain moves need to be made (firing coaches); certain things need to be said.
McD has an eye for talent, but needs to learn more about putting pieces together and showing some 'love' to the players. He and Horny did an amazing thing two years ago, then tried to build off it. But then some things started to unravel; MoBros assault, Dragic declined and whined, and this season, Bledsoe got injured, along with Knight and Price, and Kieff played like a$$ because he's a baby and didn't get his way. What's McD supposed to do with that!?!?!
But hey, let's fire him and extend our misery another 3 years while a different GM comes in and tries to install his system/players, then, in another 2 years, we can all come back, complain and whine because that GM hasn't taken us to a championship in less than 3 years, and we can repeat the cycle over and over...won't that be fun!!
Give him a chance to 'tank' and accumulate some more young/future building pieces, and, oh, I don't know, give him chance to actually see his plan through to fruition. You McD haters are nothing more than the "I want it now, now, now" generation, and can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. If by the end of next season, our primary pieces (Bledsoe, Len, Warren, Knight, and now Booker, unless Knight is traded, which is a possibility) stay healthy, or don't commit felony, and we aren't a playoff team, then fine, I'll be on board the fire McD train, begrudgingly, because ultimately, I think a GM should be given 5 years to build 'his' team and see his vision to fruition.
But don't talk out one side of your mouth about GMs tanking, then out of the other, decide you can't recognize that our GM is tanking, then try to 'blame' that GM for putting together the worst team in Suns history, because that flat out isn't true; you darn well know it, and are trying to use our record as evidence for firing our GM! That's about as disingenuous as one can be!
