But but we have to trade him so he can become a star somewhere else, then we can continue to bitch and moan woe is us. We don't have the patience to develop our own star, one year is an eternity and we must trade for another teams "star."
Would still trade him for Anthony Davis.. Who is the BEST PF in the game and hasnt even reached his prime... In fact he is still a few years away from his prime. And he is a two way superstar already.
Its like trading potentially a Ray Allen/Michael Redd level shooter for a better shot blocking Kevin Garnett.... The GM who trades the Garnett level player gets fired.
But the GM who trades a young Kobe for a post-knee surgery Anthony Davis might also get fired
Why would you bring Anthony Davis and a minor non structural or ligament related knee surgery?
And since when is Booker the next Kobe??
Booker doesnt resemble Kobe's game at all.
A young Kobe was dunking a lot and was an above the rim player... Closer to Wiggins. Booker's path to stardom relies heavily on his shooting abilities and IQ rather than athleticism and sheer physical abilities.
Give me Anthony Davis anyday.
He can lead the Suns to a championship ring sooner and likelier than someone like Booker.
Im not knocking Booker.. But rather praising Davis.
Imagine
I can imagine more star players would love to play next to Davis too.
Get Davis and Suns become attractive to stars immediately. He is a 25ppg 10rpg 3bpg mobile PF who can run and stretch defenses but also play above the rim.
All this talk is moot obviously since Pelicans wont trade Davis.
But hypothetically... Any GM would trade that package I offered for someone like Davis.
