Yeah, probably not.

I've said this in a couple places but I don't see it with either Simmons or Ingram. People are acting like they are surefire All-Stars waiting to happen. I think there's a good chance both of their ceilings are just "good starter." I don't mind being in the minority with that opinion, but if you think about it that way from a value perspective EB, 4, and 13 is a heist. Would you have traded Lamar Odom in his prime for EB, 4 and 13? Hell yeah you would and to me there's a very good chance that is all Simmons ever is.

Best part of @JimmyButler on @BillSimmons pod? He praised my guy @DevinBook as the best young up and coming player in the @NBA. I concur.

But but we have to trade him so he can become a star somewhere else, then we can continue to bitch and moan woe is us. We don't have the patience to develop our own star, one year is an eternity and we must trade for another teams "star."

Knight to Philly
Okafor or Noel to Boston
Boston assets to Cleveland (Suns might pitch in too)
Love to Phoenix.

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=hd2zrly

Assets to Cleveland can be fluid.

Why for Philly? They get the point guard they are looking for and dump one of the big guys they have been shopping.

Why for Boston? They get a young big guy with potential AND keep #4. They essentially trade 4 green houses for a red hotel.

Why for Cleveland? They get rid of the under performing Love in exchange for depth.

Why for Phoenix? We trade away one of our point guards and get back a PF with star potential.

We go into 2016 looking pretty good, ESPECIALLY if we can land a nice free agent. AND we can use #4 on BPA even if it is another guard.

Bledsoe/#4
Booker/BB
Tucker/TJ
Love/#13
Chandler/Len

Perhaps we chase Batum or Deng as our new starting small forward? Perhaps we chase Whiteside or Noah as our starting center?

Everyone remember after that first bulls game Jimmy said Book was talking trash to him and we were all confused.

I remember it very clear. I think Book mentioned a lot of players think he's talking trash but he's really just hyping himself up, saying things like "this guy can't hold me". Kobe does the same thing.

Hes not fooling anybody lol. If youre talking to yourself..its "he cant guard YOU." As soon as "you" changes to "me," you're talking to someone else, therefore talking ****. Im not mad about it, i just dont know why he has to hide it lol.

Would still trade him for Anthony Davis.. Who is the BEST PF in the game and hasnt even reached his prime... In fact he is still a few years away from his prime. And he is a two way superstar already.

Its like trading potentially a Ray Allen/Michael Redd level shooter for a better shot blocking Kevin Garnett.... The GM who trades the Garnett level player gets fired.

But the GM who trades a young Kobe for a post-knee surgery Anthony Davis might also get fired

Sacrilege. Booker may not even be the next Brandon Roy let alone Black Mamba. I know he is getting heapes of praise from premier SGs but nothing is written in stone as of yet

I think we will start to hear a lot more legitimate rumors once the finals are over. Teams do not usually like to take away the spotlight from the championship. That is why I was actually surprised to hear about the Timberwolves rumor and I thought it was kind of disrespectful to put that out there before the series ends.

Apparently the 76ers cant get a top 5 pick for Okafor? Meaning the offer of 4 for Okafor was on the table and we said no? Interesting.
McD obviously still has high hopes for Len

Just saw this also, oh my goodness there are lots of PHI fans that will be absolutely sullen, and eating crow if this is true. This will be vindication for everyone that has been saying this is the case. This is one report, though.

Oh yeah, I feel that same way. Not that I don't see it with them, but no one is a sure fire all star. I don't want to put a ceiling on anyone with guys like them, but you never know.

Why would you bring Anthony Davis and a minor non structural or ligament related knee surgery?

And since when is Booker the next Kobe??

Booker doesnt resemble Kobe's game at all.
A young Kobe was dunking a lot and was an above the rim player... Closer to Wiggins. Booker's path to stardom relies heavily on his shooting abilities and IQ rather than athleticism and sheer physical abilities.

Give me Anthony Davis anyday.
He can lead the Suns to a championship ring sooner and likelier than someone like Booker.

Im not knocking Booker.. But rather praising Davis.

Imagine

I can imagine more star players would love to play next to Davis too.

Get Davis and Suns become attractive to stars immediately. He is a 25ppg 10rpg 3bpg mobile PF who can run and stretch defenses but also play above the rim.

All this talk is moot obviously since Pelicans wont trade Davis.

But hypothetically... Any GM would trade that package I offered for someone like Davis.

I think things are just in hold. Celtics probably are telling Philly to hold on before executing a trade because they are considering (while they wait to see if they can get Butler and wait for the finals to end to see if Cleveland wants to do anything). That holds up any deals with the teams below them.

It may be reported they can't get a deal done for a pick in the top 5, but my guess is that if anyone does want him, they are just holding out on executing it. Phx could be holding on to work out Bender if they have moved on from Boston.

Yeah I think if Bender is gone by 3, we pull the trigger. If Benders there for us at 4, we take him. Thats just my thinking of what our FO might do.

How I see it playing out. Philly/Boston work out deal involving 3. Dunn is who Philly takes with the pick. Suns keep 4 & choose between Bender/ Murray/ Buddy.
