His game seems to be developing right now and very quickly. To me these players are beginning to look like this in game style.

Ayton: David Robinson
Bamba: Dikembe Mutombo
Bagley: Tim Duncan
JJackson: Chris Bosh

I like his potential as much as anyone but he has only made more than 5 shots once this season.

I'd rather take Lonnie Walker if he's available still.

For the Bulls? For the Suns, I was looking for a taller guard who can run point to pair with Booker. I just don’t see Walker’s 1.3 assists/game as being enough to fit what I was hoping.

I really feel we'll end up with one of them in the draft, one way or another. So my eyes wide open for this.

David Robinson was probably my favorite non-Suns player at the time and I don't like this comparison very much. The Admiral was much more agile, he could take people off the dribble like a guard, which I don't see in Ayton. Also he was a pretty good defender and Ayton doesn't project as such. I think he ends more a Patrick Ewing game-wise than a David Robinson.

Yeah, these comparisons are off. Bamba being like Mutombo might be pretty close, but otherwise...

I don't know if my historical knowledge goes back for enough for me to draw an appropriate comparison to Ayton. Thick big with elite athleticism, solid post and spot up game, bad defensive instincts and mediocre motor. Honestly, no one really comes to mind.

I've been comparing Bagley to Amare before it was cool (the stepien pod consistently makes this comparison, I've found), and I think that's close. Amare with more motor and less power.

Jaren Jackson is also tough. He's bigger than Bosh. Crazy defensive instincts, a developed outside shot, can face up.

I like all of Jackson, Bagley, Bamba and Mitchell Robinson (for where he's likely to be drafted). Less excited about Ayton.

Really wishing we still had that LAL pick so we could all dream about taking one from that group and also Trae Young.

That team is really trash besides Young. Amazing he can average 10 assist a game.

I know people talk about a Booke/Trae back court as much watch. But the thought of Trae having a player like TJ to pass to is kind of mind boggling. I think Trae could average 12 assist a game pretty easily.

I do too. I like a lot of the top guys in this draft and would be happy basically all of them, but Trae Young on this team is what I want most.

Avery Johnson said of guys he played again that Collin Sexton reminds him of KJ. Dunno if I buy that though, probably not the passer KJ was.

Young just got tired of his teammates... Not surprised, but not a good sign. Also seems to be allergic to defense.

Sexton is definitely attacking Young hard, probably going to get the same type of treatment in the NBA.

Can't blame him much for being hesitant to give it up at times. I've lost count of the number of times he's set someone up for a wide open shot only for them to miss, and when he gives it up they're face guarding him hard so he can't get the ball back.

Wow pathetic stuff from Oklahoma. Did Kruger serious throw the white flag when they're down 10 points with 2 minutes left?

I still loved what i saw from Young. Even through his teammates short comings he still tried to get them involved. It amazes me how much he is able to do with how little. And on the other hand, still not impressed with Sexton. Like Bledsoe minus the court vision and playmaking (Which really says something because Bledsoe lacked in those areas too). IDK, i guess i just expect more from a PG, Sexton seems to be decent is some aspects, and completely lacking in others, while also not being great at anything.

If he gets guarded like this in the NBA I'll be very surprised, and he will average 15 assists a game - like he should have today, if only his teammates knew how to play basketball.

I don't know how to rank players in the top 7 (Young, Doncic, Bagley, Ayton, Porter, Jackson, Bamba?) but my very fluid board currently has this guy pretty solidly slotted at #8:

My ideal draft rn is one of Young or Doncic plus this guy. With all these big men, it will be a shame if we're not able to solve the C spot through this year's draft.
