Can't do it. Even if we cut DJJ we'd have to cut one more person from the 15 and who is that going to be?

Mike James since their acquiring 2 guards in the deal in Beasley and Mudiay.

Or Alec Peters.

Have you watched one suns game this year? Why on earth would we cut Mike James, one of few bright spots so far

You are not getting Juancho in that deal. The rest i'm fine with. Most guys on the Nuggets forum would not give you the 1st either.

He's had like one or two good games, he's gonna come back to earth soon.

I doubt he's better than Mudiay who is someone I think very lowly of as well.

Can't cut Peters or James. They are both on 2-way deals and not currently part of the 15.

Sorry can't take you seriously after suggesting we straight up cut Mike James, especially for sh*tty Mudiay - Bled trade.

People don't understand that sadly. They want to move Bledsoe for three other players. Crazy to think we would have to dump players like DJJ, Williams, or Reed and James probably wouldn't stick in the G-league as he would head back to Europe for more money. Again Bledsoe for a expiring and a future 1st round pick is probably the best we can manage.

How does Philly not consider trading for Bled at this point? He'd fit perfectly next to Simmons - give us Fultz and we throw in Miami pick

Right - the team can move Jones, Daniels - but not Peters or James at this point as filler.

I agree - a one for one with pick might just be the best deal. Teletovic and a 1st for Bledsoe

Would include Reed/Daniels in the trade then as I think Beasley/Juancho are superior prospects.

I don't care what McD says, he usually does the opposite of what he says.

His word doesn't mean a damn thing.

Are you a Mike James relative? You know he isn't the s**t right? He's at best an average backup PG in this league. He's only starting now cause of circumstances...

It's getting comical how every high pick the Sixers have had in the past billion years ends up injured for their entire rookie season. It's just ... weird.

Pie in the sky but here's my attempt:

Philly trades Fultz and Okafor for Bledsoe, Chriss, Miami 1st and our 2019 top 3 protected first.

We get our backcourt set with Fultz and Booker. Bender gets a ton of minutes at the 4 where I project him to start in the future for us. We take a flier on a Okafor and probably draft a top center in the draft which finishes our rebuild so we wouldn't be tanking next year and would be ok giving away our pick.
Fultz/Ulis
Booker/Reed
Jackson/Warren
Bender/Dudley
Len/Okafor (someone like Ayton)

Philly is going to run the ball thru Simmons. Bledsoe is a great guard who can play off the ball and would be an all star in the east. He's great in the 4th quarter and could really help this team in crunch time which they seem to need. Chriss still has a ton of potential and could be insurance for Embiid if he went down. The two picks are sweeteners for the deal and both figure to be good picks (especially ours next year)

Philly won't trade Fultz. They still have their pick this year and already extended Embiid. They'll tank (again) and get another top prospect.

Plus Colangelo is not the type to trade for a guy like Bledsoe. I doubt they have any interest.

Why would he not trade for a guy like Bledsoe? Sincere question. He traded for Barkley, who was demanding a trade.

You think too lowly of James then. I sarcastically bought into the hype and joined his cult and while he won't blow up the boxscore, I think he's a decent player who's game is pretty much set. That's not necessarily a bad thing because on a team full of youngsters, it's good to have "veterans" who are still in their athletic prime. As mentioned, James won't ever be much more than what we've already seen but I like that he plays calm, he mostly plays within himself, doesn't pound the ball and is quietly our 4th leading scorer with a .418 3P% and a solid 2:1 AST:TO ratio. He's no world-beater but he's a guy who's been around the block and for better or worse, he's a guy we could use. He certainly could be coming back down to Earth soon but he's a perfectly fine stop gap option until we have a proper PG who's ready to start (Ulis?) or Booker gets moved to PG full time.

This is not a Mudiay vs James debate because a lot NBA fans would rather have Mudiay over a 27yo rookie from nowhere with no hype just based on potential/talent/name value. A few years ago I was asked by a Houston fan who I'd rather have on my team, Len or Dwight and I took Len despite the talent difference because it's not always a talent debate. In terms of fit for the roster, I'd rather have a James who isn't looking to take the spotlight and is just playing within himself.

The guy is injured, his career isn't ending. Why would anyone trade the #1 pick in the last draft because he has a nagging shoulder injury and because the have Simmons. Based on Fultz's play style and shooting abilities (when healthy), he can play perfectly fine next to Simmons.
