Let me throw my hat in the ring.....
Washington/Phoenix/Memphis
PHX out - Eric Bledsoe
PHX in - John Wall
WSH out - John Wall, Markieff Morris
WSH in - Mike Conley
MEM out - Mike Conley
MEM in - Eric Bledsoe, Markieff Morris
Phoenix upgrades at the point guard position. Wall and Booker would play great together.
Washington doesn't have to worry about paying $60M/year for Wall and Beal, when they know they'll never compete for a title with that backcourt. Conley/Beal is almost as good, and probably cheaper than Wall/Beal would be.
Memphis gets two versatile players in Bledsoe and Morris. Morris would be a fantastic addition to Marc Gasol due to his ability to stretch the floor. Bledsoe is almost as good as Conley, depending on who you ask, plus now Memphis gets Morris.
It's a situation where all three teams get what they really want without giving up much to get there.

Wall>>>Conley>>>Bledsoe. Can't get Wall with Bledsoe.

Bledsoe becomes eligible for a raise & extension come late September.
Suns offer to change Eric's 14.5/15.0m in '18/'19 to 22/24/26m in '18/'19/'20 ...that's 16.5 million added to his current deal plus one year at 26. No options.
The Bledsoe camp goes for it...deal is signed
Do you like it?
Liking it or disliking does not mean you're pro EB trade or an EB "long termer" as a deal like this plays to both ideas fairly equally imo.
I bring up the hypothetical because the Suns FO could very well be considering an early extension/raise something like this.

I actually think if you do something like this - its two years extended not just the one. But if the FO is confident in Bledsoe long term - its a good plan - so yes, I like the thought process of giving him more money in line with like Holiday, Teague type players and to your point, 22/24/26/28 - pretty good 100/4.

Watching the Jump with Rachel Nichols - she had Byron Scott and Amin Elhassan on - mentioned something that Woj is hearing Rockets again are working for Melo.
And if truly the Cavs were offering pieces/parts for Melo waiting for him to bought out - Houston should jump in and see. Granted, Ryan Anderson doesn't seem like that great of a deal. And Houston doesn't have any young players left as they were traded for Chris Paul ; not sure how many draft picks the Rockets have - and they won't be good ones.
My guess, Dolan will take Ryan Anderson - as GM -- he might be Sarver-esque in ability.

No, I don't like it as I'd rather save the cap space and get asset in trade. I don't think their camp would go for it either unless they were concerned about injury, but I think Paul is just cocky and will wait it out and go for a max. Now if the only alternative was keeping him until he expires, maybe, but I'd still rather save the cap space in case we can use it for something.

No... not good at all.
Suns are rebuilding and they dont know if Bledsoe should be part of that direction.

I am on the pro-trade EB train like BW - get an asset while you can. But Chris was just asking about thought process if they do want to keep him. And if the Suns think long term - better to try to get him at a fairer value than wait two years and have a 4/150 on your hands.
More than likely, Rich Paul would not take - so that is why, I am probably trading Bledsoe now.

I think this was already discussed earlier in the thread and someone mentioned the Knicks forum talked about how that guy has no cred.

Do we have to keep a roster spot open in the main 15 to convert two way contracts?

I am very surprised we haven't done anything yet. Are we just going to keep our salary below the floor minimum? That would be a good gesture for our team.

When you convert it they must be added to the 15 man roster so yes.

Agreed - because I think he had to take down the post as there was nothing valid about it or it was going nowhere based on Knicks
My guess - if they were talking the Suns were like "sure, we can probably figure out a way to take Love - but it means, we are not taking Noah; we may take Shumpert but it means Knight and Bledsoe or Knight and Chandler; and lastly, you are not getting Booker, Bender, Chriss, Josh , Reed, Ulis, and our pick in 2018. "
Knicks just have to decide
Ryan Anderson &/or Eric Gordon - as really the Rockets don't have much else to trade - maybe late first rounders
Straight up Kevin Love
Suns: Bledsoe &/or Knight, Warren possibly, first rounder from Heat
or buy him out
I can see the merit of Love with Knight or Bledsoe and Booker compared with Bledsoe, Booker and Knight for the next two years. If that's the case - I think I prefer Love, Booker and Knight. But the key thing is - getting young guys the proper minutes

You're confusing being bad with rebuilding. We most certainly have NOT been rebuilding for 5 years, that timeline includes the wonderful pre-Ryan season with Beasley, Scola and Shannon Brown which was followed by the 48 win season that paired Bledsoe and Dragic which was followed by the playoff hopeful but extremely disappointing Isaiah Thomas season which was followed by our first real rebuilding season. And it's laughable to group all lottery picks together as if there's no difference between picking 14th vs 1st.
Oh, I know...DeAngelo Russell at 2, and Okafor at 3 has been soooo much better than Booker at 13...or Parker at 2 and Gordon at 4 have contributed so much more to their teams than Warren at 14 (meaning, they've been fairly equal in talent)...and I don't even need to elaborate on 2013...
...but you go on with that mantra that higher pick always = higher success...I mean Bender proved as much last year over Chriss, right. He should over time, but I'll believe it when I see it, until then...
