in Atlanta...
Marion wanJoe Johnson was matched but decided he wants to be the man ted max and Kerr as the GM said he wasnt worth it... and eventually lead to trading him for Shaq.
D'Antoni was adviced to hire a defensive assistant coach, but chose not to follow it.
D'Antoni also was the one who wanted to trade picks out since he doesnt play rookies much.. and he forced the Kurt Thomas trade since he wanted to be faster...
Kerr wouldnt have a championship now with the warriors if he didnt get to LEARN from the Suns mistakes... the Suns failures lead to Warriors being the team they are.... Kerr learnt from the Suns experience...
Sarver meddles but the people around him could of easily argued their case and Im sure Sarver went ahead with his decisions because the people around him didnt argue and fought for their ideas more. (Just speculation).
Basically, I think D'Antoni was as guilty as Sarver... Kerr was just too much of a rookie GM back then...
Warriors are champs because of Kerr copying the Suns and fixing the issues... Mark Jackson and Don Nelson have to be given kudos too.. they were the ones that were involved when Curry, Thompson were drafted... Green too... and of course signing Iguadala and Bogut who were the X-factor in the playoffs and finals. Kerr is a lucky man overall...
What a bunch of garbage
Sarver off the hook, Kerr off the hook
WTF
Sarver and Kerr caused virtually all of our problems and have destroyed this franchise. They had final say in virtually everything that you and others blame Mike for. Somehow they always seem to come out clean as a whistle. Kerr was the worst. He torched D'Antoni after the season and Mike wanted out. Mike went to the Knick's. Then Kerr didn't get what he wanted after we made the WCF with Gentry so he cut and ran just like Mike. Kerr ran to a microphone. It appears that they both wanted to get away from Sarver and they did.
The only year we have been in the playoffs since Mike left town was one time with Mike's assistant as head coach and Mike's nucleus of players. The great Steve Nash revolted against both Sarver and Kerr and forced Porter out of town and Gentry in as a head coach. We made the WCF then Sarver broke that group up.
Was that Mike's fault as well?
We had a great thing going with BC and MDA working together but Sarver would have none of that on his watch. The rest is history. A piss poor history at that.
Sarver = the worst owner in the NBA
