Except for Len and Bledsoe - doesn't matter to me

Suns have 15 players plus Bogdanovich and one draft pick - thats 17 spots
Green is an expiring so thats 16

Ryan needs to do a 6 for 2 trade or something.

Get OKC involved - Perkins is an expiring for a third team if need be

Gonna be hard to involve OKC in any deal we do since we're both fighting for the 8th spot

I still have been following the Clutchfans forums and one of their old insiders is back with new info. His name is Codeman, and he usually releases info, but in coded form. That way it keeps it a bit of a mystery for the board to try to figure out, and ends up making perfect sense after the trade is done. His latest post:

Codeman wrote:Well, as usual, the injury bug has hit again. We're getting over one and fighting another (Dwight), but Dwight is a fighter and a great glue guy on the bench.

I wonder how Chandler feels about helping to recruit him here. I know I'm thankful. Dwight did return the favor though.

DM is the best when it comes to finding unhappiness among teams outside of Texas. It's a wait and see sort of method, followed by some sort of chemistry analysis that I'm not privy to.

I never claim to be an insider like Woj/ForD/etc, but I just call it how I hear it. Environment can be everything for a player. A Homecoming sometimes feels good. Take Josh Smith. He's the happiest man around since leaving Screechin'Stan and seeing his bro.

I just hope for the best.

I have seen some of these codes from him before and this is usually how the answer to the riddle looks.

Unhappiness among teams outside Texas = Suns with the MoBros.
Homecoming = Marcus coming back to Houston.
His bro = Markieff.

Moti/Jones/Capella/Terry/NOP 1st for MorrisX2/Plumlee

Sounds like a general statement

Homecoming = Marcus coming back to Houston.
Doubt it's to do with Mook and as far as environment goes, PHX has given him more opportunities than Houston ever did

His bro = Markieff.
Reference to Dwight and J.Smith

If you take the message as it is... yes

But as Kerrsed stated, Codeman apparently purposely hides his information via ambiguous sentences.

When I first read it, I thought Codeman was referring to Dragic brothers... then Morris brothers second.

It very well could be. I just figured that the MoBros works more, as Howard is injured and adding the MoBros (and Plumlee) makes more sense in my eyes as they could use some more developed bigs for a playoff run.

Sure they could also use a better PG, but to me, Dragic would be kinda in the same situation that he is in here, with Harden dominating the ball and being the main ballhandler/distributor, regulating Dragic to more of a shooter/scorer (like he is here).

Plumlee is an instant upgrade to their back-up C spot, and yet has the ability to also start when Hoard is down due to injury.

Keiff gives them the stretch 4 that they have been looking for to place next to Howard. Motie has done a decent job, but spends more time in the paint as he really isnt the stretch 4 type. Marcus is just added depth at the SF/PF spot.

If it was for the DragicBros., they would have to give up right around the same package, Motie (and/or Jones), Capella, Terry, NOP 1st. So they would be giving up 2-3 bigs, making their frontcourt even weaker with even less depth.

@GoranDragicNews: NBA Trade RUMORS: Goran Dragic Update - Suns Willing To Pay PG & Take ... http://t.co/uhfYB16Vpl

"According to one report, a trade involving Phoenix Suns guard Goran Dragic might not happen after all. Basketball Insiders' Steve Kyler reported Phoenix is willing to pay Dragic this summer and will take him off the trade block if he commits to re-signing in July as a free agent......."

So we should be reading it as, DM has identified a player (or pair) that is in an unhappy situation who could use a change in environment. Also the player/pair is a player with roots in Houston or has played for Houston previously and will be happy to be reunited with the team.

Correct. It sounds like the player used to play for Houston and is currently playing for a non-Texas team. Codman has a history of dropping multiple hints in his posts so people have to use their brain to decipher what it all means. Alot of the time its all about the wording and little things that kinda stick out as being a bit out of place. Other Clutchfan posters also picked up on the major points that i highlighted. The "Homecoming" and "Bro" aspect kinda stand out from the rest.

Couldn't that just as easily be about trading for Dragic (and his bro)?

Edit: nm. My take away is the same as 1UPZ. Sounds like a Dragic trade first, and MoBros trade second. The Rockets don't really seem like a suitable trade partner for the Suns though unless it's somehow sending Plumlee alone for a first. Nothing else would really move the needle for the playoff race. Sounds like every other rumor coming out of Houston.

Well that's kind of a leap, but who knows?

Maybe I haven't been reading enough Suns news but are the twins really unhappy in Phoenix? Is Phoenix really unhappy with them? Kieff's been pretty important for us this year and is on a killer deal.

It is being vaguely implied by a poster on this board that something is going on with Marcus Morris behind the scenes. I have not heard before that this poster has a verified inside source, so I am highly skeptical that there is any truth to this. And no, NotTraxxe is not the poster. If people that post here regularily just randomly post that they have inside information on the Suns team, and it turns out that they are BS'ing, then I hope Kerrsed will call them out and we give them a digital blanket party.

Whatever the alleged issue is with Marcus was never stated.

I think pretty much everyone besides Bledsoe/Tucker/Wright/Len are on the block.

With Marcus going off on Horney, and the twins being the main reasoning for the "Benched-for-a-Tech" rule, i believe our patience with this has grown very very thin.

One of my IRL friends who has a bit of inside info informed me that the twins are on very thin ice with the FO. We have somewhat put them on the block for a few weeks now, and the recent attitude is because they know they are on the block and could be traded to different teams, splitting them up. McD is said to be trying to accommodate them and trying to keep them together in trade talks, but Keiffs value is much higher than Marcus's.

Like i said, this is info i got about a week and a half ago (The major reason i started putting MoBros in my trade ideas), and he told me that they have been on the block for a few weeks, thus putting the timeline to right around the Hornacek altercation. I was also informed at the same time that we might have a reason to believe that Dragic is ready to move on to another team. He has been very open in the media about FA, and that has somewhat killed what trade value he has/had. Teams that want him want assurance that he will re-sign there, and he hasnt been willing to commit to that, but instead reiterating his stance that all teams will have a chance at signing him. He is looking for that big payday. We know that.

Also interesting to note, the Dragic info that was posted today:

"According to one report, a trade involving Phoenix Suns guard Goran Dragic might not happen after all. Basketball Insiders' Steve Kyler reported Phoenix is willing to pay Dragic this summer and will take him off the trade block if he commits to re-signing in July as a free agent.

Dragic is on the trade block just like the other 90% of our roster. He wont commit to re-signing until her hears all his options and offers out there, so he will remain on the trade block. Word is that his agent has really talked him up about all this.

And thats pretty much what i know. I do know a few other interesting tidbits, but i am not at liberty to share them with the board. Just know that there is a very big chance that we make a move and make one sooner rather than later.

Sure, I believe just about anyone is on the block for the RIGHT deal, but I don't know that we should be trading quality pieces for a pu pu platter of ok guys. I think Dragic may move on, but I think this is partially because of IT being here, so I think it would be wise to trade IT, since trading Dragic now would be ill advised as the ROI on such a trade would not make dealing him worth it. I seriously doubt the Suns trade Goran.

I think Thomas might be kind of hard to trade. I'm hoping SVG likes is game, but he doesn't seem like the type of guard for SVG (though I would have probably said the same about Jennings).

I do expect SOME sort of deal to happen though, even if it doesn't net us much in return.

All I know is something is going to happen and I don't need an insider to tell me that. We have lost soooo many close games and can't beat any playoff teams on a fairly consistent basis, we just aren't good enough. It is like we know we are going to lose to Houston and the Clippers when we are home and that can't be the case for any good team-losing at home so often to playoff teams. And as far as Goran and Bledsoe goes, you have to give arse to get arse!
