Thanks kerrsed for the update. Hornacek kinda hinted at the Morris twins being traded, after the clippers loss. Something to the affect Suns want to win a championship and if the players aren't helping they won't be around (referring to the technicals).

Found it:
"Something is going to have to be done; either we don't play them, we continue to sit them like this or we get new guys in here that want to win a championship," said Hornacek, clearly frustrated by his players' inability to keep their composure on the court.

I see NBA Fiend posted this in the Trade forum and the Hornets fans balked at giving up either of those bigs.

Those are very strong words for a coach to say publicly about players, especially when everyone knows who he is talking about. I agree 100% with what he is saying too.

Technical fouls, especially in a heated playoff game can mean a series loss or a win... I think Hornacek has little trust on some players on the roster when it comes to NOT giving away free points, bad defense is one thing, but lack of composure and discipline?... cant have it. Bad defense is a problem in itself.

You don't bench a guy for T's if you're trying to trade him. I call BS on any Morri trade unless it nets us a star as part of a bigger package. Shifting pieces of similar value at this point in the season doesn't make sense, especially pieces that as of a few weeks ago were being praised for their growth (and big impact games)...not to mention very reasonable contracts.

Also, I think Coach need to look himself in the mirror and not say stupid ****...again, you don't criticize players publicly that you are actively trying to trade

I have not seen much of Harris. For those of you who have would you do this as a base trade and sign him to a max.

That way it keeps it a bit of a mystery for the board to try to figure out, and ends up making perfect sense after the trade is done. His latest post:

I have seen some of these codes from him before and this is usually how the answer to the riddle looks.

Unhappiness among teams outside Texas = Suns with the MoBros.
Homecoming = Marcus coming back to Houston.
His bro = Markieff.

Moti/Jones/Capella/Terry/NOP 1st for MorrisX2/Plumlee

Well that's kind of a leap, but who knows?

Maybe I haven't been reading enough Suns news but are the twins really unhappy in Phoenix? Is Phoenix really unhappy with them? Kieff's been pretty important for us this year and is on a killer deal.

I think pretty much everyone besides Bledsoe/Tucker/Wright/Len are on the block.

With Marcus going off on Horney, and the twins being the main reasoning for the "Benched-for-a-Tech" rule, i believe our patience with this has grown very very thin.

One of my IRL friends who has a bit of inside info informed me that the twins are on very thin ice with the FO. We have somewhat put them on the block for a few weeks now, and the recent attitude is because they know they are on the block and could be traded to different teams, splitting them up. McD is said to be trying to accommodate them and trying to keep them together in trade talks, but Keiffs value is much higher than Marcus's.

Like i said, this is info i got about a week and a half ago (The major reason i started putting MoBros in my trade ideas), and he told me that they have been on the block for a few weeks, thus putting the timeline to right around the Hornacek altercation. I was also informed at the same time that we might have a reason to believe that Dragic is ready to move on to another team. He has been very open in the media about FA, and that has somewhat killed what trade value he has/had. Teams that want him want assurance that he will re-sign there, and he hasnt been willing to commit to that, but instead reiterating his stance that all teams will have a chance at signing him. He is looking for that big payday. We know that.

Also interesting to note, the Dragic info that was posted today:

"According to one report, a trade involving Phoenix Suns guard Goran Dragic might not happen after all. Basketball Insiders' Steve Kyler reported Phoenix is willing to pay Dragic this summer and will take him off the trade block if he commits to re-signing in July as a free agent.

Dragic is on the trade block just like the other 90% of our roster. He wont commit to re-signing until her hears all his options and offers out there, so he will remain on the trade block. Word is that his agent has really talked him up about all this.

And thats pretty much what i know. I do know a few other interesting tidbits, but i am not at liberty to share them with the board. Just know that there is a very big chance that we make a move and make one sooner rather than later.

Why the hell is Tucker considered an untouchable?

I haven't seen a Suns player miss as many wide open shots as him since Hakim Warrick when Nash would set him up perfectly.

Bledsoe/Len should be the only untouchables. Maybe Goran too.

They resigned them a year early.

It's got to be, Plumlee/Dragic/Green/Thomas.

Re-signing them improved their trade value. They'd be RFA's and Kieff would likely get more than 8m per.

From a stats perspective I really like Tobias Harris and would love to have him.. However to be honest I have only seen him play in one game so really don't have a feel for how good he really is. Does he play good defense? That is always the first answer I look for is about defense. If he does play good D, plus brings his level of offensive game then he should be a Suns trade target.

If the Suns are serious about re-signing Dragic, get IT the hell out of here and give Ennis some time so he can grow into the backup. Also I'd be glad if we finally got rid of the trash talking twins for some players who actually have a brain and play defense.Markieff is essentially the PF version of IT and Gerald, and Marcus is easily replaceable.

I've been messing around with the trade machine since yesterday for Tobias Harris as well..

But it involves Thomas, Tucker going to Magic lol...

I think Magic likes his potential too much.

I think Harris is a dead end. He is a great player would be amazing here, but he is going to be a FA and has his heart set on playing for the Knicks (His hometown team that he grew up watching).

NY will have the money to sign him and definitely could use what he brings to the table. No use in trading assets for him, as he could just walk away at the end of the season.

Hell yea. I can't see why Orlando wouldn't want to keep him and pay him though.

Harris is a RFA right? If we trade for him, we can just match whatever he gets.

I think the Suns are trying to move away from the stretch 4 system. It is hard to do however because so many of our current players were aquired to fit this system. To my of way of thinking we entered the 4-out-1-in stretch 4 era when Channing Frye became our starting PF right after Amare went to the Knicks (back in 2010 I believe). Suns have never made the playoffs in the stretch 4 era. If we do go to a more traditional style of play I think we keep Bledsoe and trade Goran. Goran is more effective with a stretch 4 to open up the lanes for him so he would be the most impacted in this scenario.

I think Suns need a dead eye shooter like Korver at the 3 spot... McDermott perhaps.

Yea he's restricted. Usually I figure all young players who become free agents are restricted. Exception being guys like Monroe.

I don't put a lot of stock in the Knicks rumors. Every year there's reports that every free agent wants to play bring there. It's BS stuff that the NY media looks to create for buzz. Of course if a guy is from NY, it adds even more incentive for them to add to the bs rumor.
