Well, TASTIC says it's best with about 7 or 8 keepers, so you draft thinking about the future and not only this year and you are committed to play in future seasons. Future drafts will be mostly for rookies, players who break out, and end of the rotation guys.

Another cool thing you can do it keep the player where you (or someone else) picked them.
So say you added Jokic off waivers last year you could keep this year as your last pick in the draft the following season.
Or if you drafted say Buddy Hield in Rd 8 this year, you could keep him in Rd 8 for next year's draft.

It's hard enough to get through a draft here and to keep everyone on the same page and engaged. I think at least in year one, we need to simply just pick a number of keepers and leave it at that. I like stuff like that but running these drafts and keeping track of everyone is crazy and sometimes painful enough as it is.
If one person in the league isn't on the same page as everyone else, even that throws everything off big time. I don't need to mention a good example from a couple years ago.

I mean, isn't dynasty supposed to resemble the real NBA, where your players tend to stay the same, building through the draft? It wouldn't make sense to me to have a draft round associated with a player, and by keeping that player means that's the pick you don't make. It's easier and makes more sense to have your 7 or 8 keepers and then have a draft with 4 or 5 rounds (we'd do 12 players per team, right?).

TASTIC wrote:- Roster size. I'd suggest we don't go any more than 12-13 players. That's a player pool size of 180 deep for 15 teams w/ 12 man, and a max of 16 teams w/ 13 man at 208 deep. I think we keep it simple like Yahoo's standard (PG, SG, G, SF, PF, F, C, UTL, UTL, BN, BN, BN). Also suggest 2x IL spots as you definitely need those for dynasty.
