Someone else said earlier that the next couple of weeks will make or break McD, but the fact that he got Ayton and had this draft and cashed in, I think he bought himself some time.
I think he has two years left, and if you mean the next two years could be his last stand if we are not at least knocking on the door of the playoffs in 2020, yes.
But I think their best move was hiring Igor. While I like a lot of our players and pieces, sometimes our roster construction is a bit strange, so it will be interesting, but at least the best area to have lots of good players is with versatile wings, so I think we can stay fresh and always have 2-3 starting caliber wings on the floor and can withstand injuries to them ok.
The key I think will be the primary ball handler. I have high hopes for Elie....I am not really a Knight fan but I will give him a chance.
I think it would be nice to get a good vet PG. Some teams seem to have several decent point guards now like Toronto and Indiana. I know a lot of people talk about Kemba but I'm not even sure if he's on the block since they just made a trade to get slightly under luxury tax territory which makes it seem like they won't feel the need to dump some of those big contracts...and with some of those vets and an all star PG who wants to be there, not sure why they'd trade him. Charlotte seems an unlikely team to actively tank. A team owned by Jordan who just brought in Mitch.
It would be really nice if Elie Okobo could break out in a Donovan Mitchell type of way (though maybe more in a PG sense)...that would be some real gravy on this draft.

So about that...
I'm NOT an insider but I did hear that:
-Kokoskov wanted Doncic over Ayton
-Kokoskov isn't a huge fan of Booker (He thinks Booker doesn't play defense, takes bad shots, and has inflated stats).
If these are both true...I'm not sure we hired the right guy BECAUSE:
-Ayton is a stud, game changer, and generational talent
-Booker is a star
If there is any clash between Booker/Ayton and coach...then this coach needs to go.
