Well technically he is right - 16.8 is between 15 and 20 but I think reed is kept advanced already guaranteed and probably Shaq. Ulis and Williams decisions are the next week to two weeks so different time lines

So yeah, you can keep Williams and Reed and be at about $15. Ulis doesn't make much either. But then we also need to sign Okobo.

Interesting looking at the remaining roster after your moves and Booker pretty much makes the least....makes a tad more than Chriss and Daniels but that's it. I guess this will be the last year of that though.

Mcd is fine. If he was trying to save his career we would see mass trades for older players.

Happy with what they did. It's a move for the future. Genuinely excited.

The Free Agency space is good but not sure there is anyone I want to max or offer a massive contract to.

Someone else said earlier that the next couple of weeks will make or break McD, but the fact that he got Ayton and had this draft and cashed in, I think he bought himself some time.

I think he has two years left, and if you mean the next two years could be his last stand if we are not at least knocking on the door of the playoffs in 2020, yes.

But I think their best move was hiring Igor. While I like a lot of our players and pieces, sometimes our roster construction is a bit strange, so it will be interesting, but at least the best area to have lots of good players is with versatile wings, so I think we can stay fresh and always have 2-3 starting caliber wings on the floor and can withstand injuries to them ok.

The key I think will be the primary ball handler. I have high hopes for Elie....I am not really a Knight fan but I will give him a chance.

I think it would be nice to get a good vet PG. Some teams seem to have several decent point guards now like Toronto and Indiana. I know a lot of people talk about Kemba but I'm not even sure if he's on the block since they just made a trade to get slightly under luxury tax territory which makes it seem like they won't feel the need to dump some of those big contracts...and with some of those vets and an all star PG who wants to be there, not sure why they'd trade him. Charlotte seems an unlikely team to actively tank. A team owned by Jordan who just brought in Mitch.

It would be really nice if Elie Okobo could break out in a Donovan Mitchell type of way (though maybe more in a PG sense)...that would be some real gravy on this draft.

Okobo is shifty with a burst. He has good quicks and keeps defenders off balance. I like him a lot too. He is gonna be a tough one to guard. Nice back-up that could work his way up. Everything is a bonus with him...literally should be a fifth option.

So about that...

I'm NOT an insider but I did hear that:

-Kokoskov wanted Doncic over Ayton
-Kokoskov isn't a huge fan of Booker (He thinks Booker doesn't play defense, takes bad shots, and has inflated stats).

If these are both true...I'm not sure we hired the right guy BECAUSE:

-Ayton is a stud, game changer, and generational talent
-Booker is a star

If there is any clash between Booker/Ayton and coach...then this coach needs to go.

I just meant that he needs to nail some moves this summer in FA/Trade and have the team improve and get on the right track

He cannot have a Hedo Turkoglu/Hakim/Josh type deal where he panics and signs the wrong player to long term deals.

I think we all realize he would have an affinity for Doncic

He talked very highly of Ayton - or was putting him on notice today- - he expects him to be a very good defensive player

WE all see that Booker doesn't play defense - so maybe he is a fan of Booker but knows he needs to play D to really up his game

So not saying your reports aren't true - just maybe context

I don't like to sign a veteran just for the sake of signing a player, there is no guarantee that whomever we sign will get us more wins. Seriously anyone really want us to have a big chunk of our cap tied up for the next 4 years to sign Favors so we can get 3 more wins? I would rather have the cap saved up for resigning our young players. I think we should stay put and let the young guys play to find out how good they are instead of getting a veteran point who is going to take Makal's minutes away. Don't tell me that McD traded away the most valuable asset we had in the Miami pick just to get a bench guy, Makal must start and Igor must find a way to make a starting lineup with Makal-Booker-JJ work, why surrender the Miami pick to get Makal when Donte was there if a bench 3D guy was all we wanted?

Where have you heard Koko doesn’t like Booker? Why would he want the job then? I’m sure he could have been hired elsewhere.

Where the hell did you hear that? But anyway, Booker doesn't play defense and he does take bad shots, but Igor should help him in those areas.

Even if he wanted Doncic over Ayton you always have different people in front offices wanting things, and a lot of the fans wanted Doncic too. And of course he knows him.
'
But he also said in interviews that he hasn't seen all the guys and scouted them and the draft pick isn't up to him because the people who's job it is to scout the prospects know a lot more about all those guys than he did.

But in general there is no need to start second hand rumors.
