I know. I am just trying to take credit for it. Inspired by the Espo's talk also had earlier in this same thread.

It's a pinky fellas. Not his feet. We should be rejoicing!

Wait - so he's out 1 to 1.5 weeks and this is the reaction our board has? Calm the **** down.

@CraigAZSports: #Suns Len said he got hit---by Tyler Ennis---on the finger going up for a dunk, "It was an and-1; and I didn't get the call."

Tyler "muscleman" Ennis has fractured his finger?! OMG, I am waiting to see how he responds playing big minutes against DeAndre, Howard,Bogut,Chandler....etc...that could be a carnage.

Len got hurt trying to dunk? I welcome that kind of aggressiveness.

I saw it earlier, but it's got me thinking. How intentional is that "d" at the end of anticipate?

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. It's a pinkie finger--small brittle bones on a very exposed part of one's body...and it's pre-season, not during the season.

I really don't see this as an issue, or even something to over-analyze. I'd be a heck of a lot more concerned if it was something with his feet/ankles, as those are injuries to worry about for a big man, especially considering what he went through last season, but not a pinkie finger that will sideline him for 7-10 days. :-?

I don't think anyone is worried that his pinky is going to threaten his career, its just a pattern is forming that is a concern, that is all.

Yeah, I'm not worried about a silly pinkie. Tape that shite up and go play. What I'm worried about is the trend Len has going here. If it's not one thing with him it's another.

On another topic, what is everyone's thought of Faried signing for $4M more per than Kief? Or you can look at as we signed the Morii for $1M more per...

I get that Faried is 'technically' the more accomplished player, but IMO, McD definitely got the better deal. From a straight stat comparison perspective:

http://www.basketball-reference.com/pla ... 02&y2=2014

Faried has the higher shooting % and averaged 2.5 more rebounds per game, but he's also not a 3 pt threat at all, and nearly 2" shorter and 20 lbs lighter. And honestly, Kieff, has as much upside, if not more.

What's your thoughts? Did Faried deserve that high of a contract? And if so, do you consider Kieff's contract a steal? Just curious.

Well considering we got two players for the same price as they paid faried. We got a good deal. Especially, now that markieff has developed into a pretty good player with a wider skill set.

I think Faried is worth much more than what Kieff is and that he would go bonkers getting to fly up and down the court in our system. I think Faried probably would have gotten a max deal if he were on the open market, while Kieff IMO would have been looking a 7-8 mil on a 3-4 year deal.

I think Faried's contract is a win/win for Denver and him.
The Twins' contract is an steal for sure, our FO made a great job.

Len said he finished the play, despite the injury.

"It was (an) and-1, and I didn't get the call," he said, smiling, but added he immediately felt soreness in the finger.

An X-ray confirmed the second fracture.

"It wasn't healed all the way yet, so you could see the fracture still from the previous time," Len said. "You still can see (the break), so I don't know if it's a re-break or (if) they're going to look at it (again) next week."

Lingering ankle issues limited Len to only 42 games his rookie year, in which he averaged 2.0 points and 2.4 rebounds.

Quite a bit more is expected of him in his upcoming sophomore campaign.

"I don't get discouraged. As long as it's not my feet or nothing like that, I'm fine. It's just a pinky, so I don't get discouraged. Everything is going to be all right," he said. "I still can work on a lot of other things: I can run, do conditioning and stuff (and) work on my left hand. I can pass the ball. I can guard. It's just a pinky. It's nothing major. It's nothing compared to ankles."

So basically, you feel that Denver got a deal on Faried's contract, and we paid market price, then. That's definitely on the opposite side of what I figured.

I think Kieff, had he hit FA after this upcoming season after being a starter, and assuming he doesn't regress, would expect he'd be worth more. This season, he may have warranted $8M per, but I think next season, that definitely changes.

I will say that Denver did well in the draft that year. Anytime you can get a $12M per worthy big with the 22nd pick, you've done well for yourself. And considering the Morii were drafted 13 and 14 that same year, speaks volumes for how Faried has developed, that's for sure, as neither Kieff, nor Marcus, were starters.
