You do not pay about 7 million a year for a guy to be a backup when you already have two starting point guards, plus other true shooting guards. They can offer the Wolves Bledsoe, the Morris Brothers, and maybe the return of the Minnesota pick for Love, or overpay to sign Gasol. They need a proven, big time scoring frontcourt player. That is their biggest weakness right now.
The Wolves could care less about that draft pick. Its worthless to them. If they lose Love, they will be a lotto team again, thus still covered under the protection of the pick. After next years draft it turns into 2 2nd round picks. Its garbage to them.
Okay. Well Flip Saunders said he wants players that can help him win now. Eric Bledsoe and the Morris brothers are just that. An up and coming potential all star point guard, a legitimate scoring power forward, and a swingman that could get much better. I do not see a better offer out there than that except if the Cavs give up Andrew Wiggins.
