I believe his max is $27.5M for the upcoming year. If we keep our draft pick, stretch Tyler Johnson, trade Josh Jackson for just cap space, renounce everyone but Kelly Oubre we should have around $29M. If we trade our 2nd round pick or get an overseas player that stays overseas, we might not have to renounce Holmes, and can just go over the cap to sign him too.

This is the perfect plan.

Dlo
Book
Oubre/Bridges
TJ
Ayton/Holmes

Now just add a vet backup 1 and a vet 4.

Draft BPA.

How about Aaron Gordon/16 for TJ, Josh and the 6 - maybe the Suns SRP or flip them?

Isaac can move to the 4

Nevel is wrong. I guess the Jazz do have some purple and when they where those rainbow uni;s they got orange

Conley to the Jazz makes 100% sense to me

Dinwiddie for 6 and Jackson seems pretty step to me.

Conley - the 6 would be steep and I believe Tyler would need to opt in

Interesting to see the deal - if it does happen.

How reliable is this guy?

At this point almost anything else would be a disappointment for me. It’s all lining up.

He had the Carmelo trade if I recall

He said mid week last week Anthony Davis was going to get traded to the Lakers within "24 hours" - it actually took 3-4 days

So hit and miss

Not Woj or Shams level.

That's weird....people were asking him for more info...I responded saying he doesn't have any because his source is Shams.

I think Kyrie is going to the Lakers now more than likely that AD is a done deal, so Brooklyn is going to be keeping DLo...

It’s probably already been discussed but with New Orleans getting Lonzo, I feel like Griffin has to start considering moving Holliday.

He can potentially control the entire draft if he gets #6 from us and basically anything else excluding Booker/Bridges/Ayton for Holliday.

If Kyrie to LA is a real thing and he doesn't go to Nets, then no way they let Russell go right? I think the D Lo talk is waste of time.

Qwigglez wrote:I'd look at the Blazers team model and see if we can have a younger (maybe better) version of them with Russell/Booker. Both Lillard/McCollum aren't stout defenders, but they try and put defensive wings to cover their backcourts limitations. Similarly they have a traditional center like the Suns, who is able to post-up, though I'd say Nurkic knows how to pass and has a mean streak in him as well. Where we differentiate ourselves though is having long athletic wings in Bridges/Oubre.

I think my perfect off-season has us drafting Hunter, trading Jackson for pure cap space (maybe get a 2nd round pick, but likely have to give up the Bucks pick), stretching Tyler Johnson, signing DLo, and then signing Kelly Oubre. Trading Jackson for pure cap space is absolutely required if we want to offer Russell a max contract. It's either trading Jackson or Warren to make enough cap space. Ideally, we'd be able to fill out the rest of our roster with perhaps a couple of veterans.

Russell / Booker / Bridges / Oubre / Ayton
Melton / Okobo / Warren / Hunter / 2nd round pick?

I honestly really love the look of that team and would be extremely happy with that outcome.
D'Lo seems like a solid fit next to Booker, especially bc they know eos games so well, but I have slight hesitations about it because they may be a little bit too similar. Both can struggle to get penetration at times and rhat worries me. BUT D'Lo has improved immensely as a passer since coming into the league, and that has me leaning towards trying to sign him.
Our athletic slew of wings is really what seperates our team from others. Keeping Warren and adding Hunter to Oubre and Mikal means we can have guys from the 2 to the 4 that play great defense and shoot 3s. Warren has a great in-between game, Hunter has a nice little post game as well, and Bridges/Oubre are developing into more well-rounded scorers by the day. That group of wings could turn into a really deadly core of our team on both ends of the ball.
This all seems like an ideal environment to raise Ayton in, who may wind up being our best player. I think Hunter makes for an excellent frontcourt partner to Ayton. Our wings will help shore up weaknesses defensively. D'Lo and Book are probably 2 of the best players in the league to throw an outlet pass to.
On top of everything, we can still keep one or both of Melton/Okobo, and they have so much time to develop into really good players.
Then we'll have TJo's expiring and another pick to look forward to using next year to further improve on what looks like a solid foundation.
Um unsure abt how exactly this works with our cap space, but hope is good at least, right?
Living off borrowed time the clock ticks faster...

man if they think 4 is worth Beal, why not JJ/6/TJ?

Also if all it takes is freaking the 4th pick to land BEAL, the NBA gods really screwed us in the lottery

#4 for Beal? That isn't happening.

Doesn't Tyler Johnson have to opt-in though.

Warren, Jackson and the 6 for Conley seems like a helluva lot to me

What's with all the Holmes love? Is he the 2019 version of Lou? He is not very good. Suns should be looking to upgrade everywhere.
